Just had to write to I guess feel better...

DS is acting out big time! He's in counseling. Counselor feels his anger is directly related to home situation.

Counselor wants me to call WH everytime DS acts out, so DS knows WH is involved. I think it's useless. WH lives an hour away. What the he## is he going to do?

DS refuses to talk to him on the phone when I do call.

WH says he'll talk to DS next time he sees him. That does nothing.

Guess I'm feeling sorry for myself. When we had kids, I don't ever remember agreeing to stay home alone and take care of them, while WH lives the single life, with a 17 year younger than him wh$re!

Thanks for letting me vent!!!

Hi cat,
I am by no means an expert or anything. I am a BS myself. I just thought that I'd let you know that I'm listening. Vent all you want. I know it helps me to.
Take care
Rock

I'm listening too Cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here by myself raising my 2 year old son while his "mother" , my EX WW, hasn't called to check on him in three nights now (has had a URI for over a week but is getting better). She's probably too busy running around with her A partner who in my case is 23 years older than her and old enough to be her father. SICK!

Hang in there....

I know. It stinks. My boys (8 and 11) have been fighting like cats and dogs lately over the dumbest stuff, and it gets violent. They actually hit each other. I'm sure if they didn't have each other, their anger and confusion would be expressed in other ways...

I know exactly how you feel. I had children with the expectation that the TWO of us would raise them...together. I did NOT sign up for this gig. It is so unfair. And it can make you feel very defeated, I know.

All the more reason, though, to keep fighting to save your M and keep your family intact. How are things going on that front...I've lost track.

Thanks all...

Not much new to update:

WH still living with 17 year younger OW...10 mos. now

I filed D after I found out about them living together. Guess I was a bit hasty, but at the time I felt it was the right thing to do. Should be final by Spring. WH doing nothing to stop it.

I have given WH MANY chances to come back etc. Obviously he's happy with his life.

He may be (or not) happy now but now is a long time from "now on". His little soulmate A will blow up like the rest, bet on it.

No matter, you and your children have an exciting life ahead of you.

I hope you are right about the A blowing up.

I guess I just don't see it.

WH just moved into a bigger apt. with OW. Signed a year lease. I'm sure if he had any intention of coming back, I doubt he would have gone through all the trouble of moving and buying more furniture etc.

Doesn't matter what the WS is going to do, the fact that the WS needs to hear of it all is your job to relay.

So whether the WS does the right thing, your function to inform needs to be done. It will have greater impact to you and your son down the line and provide proof he is not a good father. Hard reality but a lesson that needs to be learned.

Do what you were advised. For you sake and that of your son.

Remember you can only control what is within your realm. Remind your son that u 2 are a team and will be there for each other. This can be used as character building for you son.

Don't look at it as a lesson to teach the WS. Remember they can't be taught. But they still are obligated to their responsibilities. If it costs him more $$, then so be it. Love isn't about $$ but if that's all he can cough up, then the Ws is still a jerk.

L.
