I don't think there's a prescribed time however you should invest this time wisely. I'm 24 got married 2 days before my 21st birthday and I wish I had waited a little longer before I married. I had my first baby at 21 my 2nd at 22 and now I am not happy with my life. I wish I were more stable as an individual (went to college but don't have degree), I wish I had better family management skills, I wish I had dated more (with my husband or with someone else). All I'm trying to say is enjoy your singleness once your married the only way that you can get it back is by divorcing and truthfully no one marries to divorce. Do everything you can like travel, get 1 or 2 degrees, start a business do safe but wild things and just enjoy life. And SAVE, SAVE, SAVE just in case things go bad or just because it's a good idea. Invest in a protfolio. Live! And when you are ready to take the plunge get the most extensive premarital counseling (offered free through church) you can. Read the books and prepare yourself. Although you still won't be 100% prepared you'll at least have a running start.

you are so so young. marriage is a huge commitment. wait wait wait. live, set up your life, your goals. work a career for awhile. there is no rush for marriage!

i was married at 25 and now that i am 35 i would say 25 was even too young! live your life now because once in a marriage, you ability to be independent is gone, you have someone else's opinions and feelings to consider as well at that point.

wait
