i have a technical question for tempest

i have used the max of characters on my signature but i would like to add links to my threads.

these are being counted as characters and i can't add them without deleting other information that i want to keep

[color:"blue"] i want to know if there is a way to increase the max of 500 characters on my signature so that i can add the threads. [/color]

i can't reach tempest at the above e-mail address

when i click it the message i get is "error loading. cannot find path"

i get the same message when i click the e-mail for the MB tech support

can anyone help?

my computer is old so i'm wondering if that's the problem?

i've contacted tempest in the past before though, just by clicking on his e-mail.

maybe someone would be willing to foreward this message to him if all else fails?

thanks bunches
eav

Glad you posted this Eav....been meaning to seek tech help, too. I don't care about space limits, I just want to link a thread when I post.

Can anyone point me to directions for linking threads to posts regardless of space limits?

ace

that sounds like what i want to do too right?

i want to be able to have a way to link the threads together using my signature. i know this can be done using the URL codes but that's what i don't have room to do

it sounds like both of us are clueless!

there is a section on the main index just for temptest. but you can't use it to post TO him. it's only for posts FROM him. it's locked.

i looked at the first post from him but it was deleted by Dr. Harley

there is only one short post from him other than that and it says.....i should have added this to the first post and then gives his e-mail address which i can't use!

eav,

Try using your regular email and try this address:

tempestmb@verizon.net

Ace,

To link threads type <without spaces>:

[ U R L = copy and paste url address for thread ] Type title of the thread [ / U R L ]

eav....try linking the way I just explained to Ace....it may not count all the characters of the URL, and just the ones in the title KWIM? <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

It actually does count them all.

And it also puts stupid extra characters in that I can't see the point of.

i also tried the same process with his yahoo e-mail. no failure response so maybe it went through.

Star,

Thanks for the link tips. Also, I appreciated all your insight on Chrisner's thread.
