I don't drink
I don't swear
I don't wear underwear

(Redneck poetry)

Just seeing if you'all are awake!!

In real life, I don't drink when I'm doing AD because then I feel to disconnected sort of. I drink my FAVORITE drink when I'm "non-alcoholic" and that's cream soda. I LOVE CREAM SODA!! I'm also very partial to grape juice and my exH would never let me drink it cuz he said I'd spill it on my blouse and ruin perfectly good clothes. Now that I'm married to a wonderful man, he lets me drink cream soda and grape juice ANY TIME I WANT.

Oh, I love cream soda too CJ.

The whole foods market here has some really interesting brands of it that taste really good.

LilSis,

The major factor in drinking is your liver. Your liver processes all of these 'things' that you put in your body. So, if you consume alcohol while on AD's (or any med for that matter) you liver has to attempt to process them both, and may, in some cases, cause liver failure. There is no real evidence to the contrary, but this also hasn't been studied intensively, so the risk may be minute.

I would say that a glass of wine or two on a 'going out' night is fine. I wouldn't make a habit of drinking more than the equivalent of a glass of wine, one shot, one beer, a day.

Thanks, SL. On a couple of occassions, I have had a glass of wine, but always felt a little nervous about doing so. I wasn't really sure what the reaction would be...excessive drowsiness, nausea, etc. ?? It's helpful to know the reason for the warning.

Yeah, one would be my limit.

Um, pep, maybe your statement could use a little more, I dunno, DETAIL (inquiring minds want to know)....

OK

BORAT <~~~ the DVD ... I was UNprepared for a scene with

naked hairy men fighting ... rolling around on the floor/elevator/hotel lobby

and ... I was coughing up a lung watching this ... I was ashamed of myself for finding it so funny

the funniest part of the DVD is in the special features ... the "promotional" part ... TV appearances promoting the movie ... Jay Leno and MARTHA STEWART trying to get Borat to behave .... even funnier than the movie

Mimi, you'd HATE it !

Man that pucked!

Cj- I like cream soda too but I don't drink it often...I'm a Diet Dr.Pep person...

LilSis,

I think you don't need to worry about one drink. In addition to what SL said, alcohol is a depressant, so there's a bit of counter-productivity there, too.

Drug companies HATE being sued. In order for them to claim that it's fine to take ADs with alcohol, they would have to do some clinical trials, and those are really really expensive. It's probably easier to slap a label on that says "and don't drink, either."

Another very good Viggo movie is "History of Violence" It's a little rough but a great film. Ed Harris is in it too.

NOT for the kiddies. Really NOT.

Now I am standing in the corner in my "Don't Talk to Me. I am in Plan B" tee shirt tipping a bourbon.

50 First Dates always makes me cry...I still will watch it even now, knowing that I will sob to no end (especially remembering being in Hawaii with my H at the location where they filmed the scenes of him stopping her in her car just to meet her..ya know where Rob Schneider gets the stink beat out of him...LOL)

It just makes me smile that there are people who would love so unconditionally...I know all of us do...look at us, still loving in spite of the yuck!!!

OK so has anyone seen anything current that is good?

Hey! Where can I one of those t-shirts? I'll pass on the bourbon, though...gimme a bottle of pinot noir now that I can have a glass with a clear conscience.

I like Ed Harris, too, ever since he was John Glenn in The Right Stuff.

I'm going to see "Wild Hogs" this weekend. Previews look pretty funny and I could use a laugh or two right now. I'll let you know how it was after I see it!

After d-day I was contemplating making bumper stickers for MOW and WH that said "lying cheating sneaking piece of chit low life" but it was kinda long to fit on one bumper. Probably too long for a shirt too. It would be kind of funny to give him a black shirt and then have those words show up under a black light for when he went to the bars. hehehe

Just had an evil thought. For Father's Day give WH a shirt that has LCSPOSLL, make up something nice that it stands for to tell him and then every time he wears it...I'll know what it REALLY means!

Yeah, and besides, the POS in the middle might give it away...but then again, a foggy brain might just believe it stands for "piece of sterling."
