I'm not plan b-ing now, i'm in recovery but this mixer party is a great idea. I was just sharing with another friend here in Plan B that she needed to do fun activities to make this time bearable.
I remember my plan b time(and i didn't know i was doing it, didn't know about MB) my sis came and lived with me with her 3 kids. We partied. We danced, she taught us line dancing, we watched tv, movies, we ate junk food, we stayed up late talking, had others over to play games,etc... it is such good memories for me looking back on them. amazing! To be in marital crises and still have fun is rockin!
My sis made me watch a movie called Diary of a Mad Black Woman by Tyler Perry, she said i reminded her of it (things i'd say)so much that i had to see it. She said the first 5 or so minutes would kill me to watch but the movie was worth watching during this time. I did cry in the beginning, but sis stayed with me til it was over to make sure i was ok, movie was very theraputic. I watched it a couple more times in the next two months. Now, i watch all of Tyler Perry's movies as they come out.
Another very funny movie is Opporunity Knocks with Dana Carvey, it's old, but you'll laugh.

Plan B-ers! Keep up the party! Make life worth living each day, you are making memories, you'll look back on this time as special for YOU. YOU can make it for YOU if need be in life. I think it was good for me to see i could have a wonderful life without my M even though i'm grateful i have it again. I know now that no matter what i will be ok. I will be happy, because i choose to be. No one can ruin my life.

Healingbychoices, in the middle of watching Diary of a Mad Black Woman, I paused the movie (right after the part that her H was shot in the courtroom and she was taking 'care' of him), I walked out to my garage, where my H and his best friend were chatting, and I told WH to leave. This was after I found out about his first affair and he would not stop the R (Aug. '05)

The first portion of the movie was HORRIFIC to watch, EXCRUCIATING, HOWEVER, The movie in it's entirety is a testament to what forgiveness can do for you.

My closest girlfriend lived with me last year, and we did have some good times. I must say, I prefer a quiet Plan B, that's just me. I would not trade not one day of MY life for anything, though. NOT ONE. Now, if you asked me if there are any days that I would trade in my WH's life, well, that's another story... <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I have to say, it would be fun to have another adult around sometimes. I do feel lonely for adult companionship...at dinner, in the evenings, weekend breakfast, watching TV. I'm around grown-ups at work, and see friends and family...but no one LIVES here with me.

It is lonely.

Hey, the party didn't end on Sunday...

We have another weekend coming up...gotta get started now so we can all have a "bangin" good time!

Went and saw Music and Lyrics last Saturday. Romantic comedy with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Not too heavy on the romance...got a little sad at one point..but just a makeout scene, (oh to make out again!!!!).

If you were in the "prime" of your life in the 80's...you will laugh your butt off at this. the opening scenes had me in tears. An ode to "WHAM". Too funny.

It is worth it for the humor, even though the plot is very predictable.

So, another funny thing...lost my keys while we were in LA for my b-day. Had to go hunt all over for them and they ended up being in the first place we looked, but the restaraunt wouldn't check for them til the second time we asked. What a day, stuck in LA...But it had a happy ending so it all turned out ok except for the fact that we didn't get home until midnight, then had the time change. 35 is too old for that time of night!!!! At least when you have 5 kids!

So who is coming to the party this week?

my son and I watched the Covenant last night...pretty good...B movies, if you like van helsing/underworld type sci-fi stuff...thats my boy..he loved it...he was tickled pink to have 'alone time' with me...the little ones suck up all my energy sometimes...I just love my boy, he made my night!!!!

Looks like I am having a day out with my big-sis. We are going to go shopping, then pick up some things to cook, I'm going to get a bottle of champagne, we're going to cook and listen to some music and enjoy our evening relaxing in the hot tub. Maybe catch a movie, who knows.

Usually, I would love to go dancing, but the most recent developments are keeping me closer to home. I need quiet right now. I tell you what, when I start feeling a bit more grounded, I'll be sure to go out dancing so I can report some fun to yous guys. I'm really a homebody, and that's okay wit me. Actually, chasing a 4yo takes it out of me too, so I look forward to 'lounging' on the weekends. Also, MOST of my girlfriends are either pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant, so much of the partying is out for them...

Fighting, I remember going to see the Ice Capades as a child in Georgia; I was MESMERIZED!

sl....I am so JEALOUS of that hot tub...great for self care and tension removal...

you know when I was 22...I went to a place in manchester, NH where you could rent a room with a hot tub in it...I went with my boyfriend at the time(yeah!) and we did a bit more that relax!! I don't know why that just popped into my head...at the time we thought it was great....but now that I think of it, it sounds kind of seedy!!!! ugh!

Well, I can't say that the hot tub hasn't been good to me in more ways than relaxation...

Now, it's really for relaxation and my DS swimming around and playing.

This weekend looks to be good. Friday night will be quiet. Saturday, I will be celbrating Saint Patrick's Day with my big sis, AT HOME. First, we will do some light shopping, maybe some shoes (yummy). Then we may hit a movie, after which we are going to shop for a yummy meal (haven't decided what's on the menu yet). I will be buying a small bottle of champagne, and after food, we will hot tub it and have some champagne.

Sunday will probably be a day to get the house together (between the dogs and kid, the place can get a bit MUCKY during the week).

Tonight, I will be making Cajun Alredo for my friends at work. It's nice to give to others...

If I had a large soaking tub, I would take baths all of the time. My house is a bit on the smallish side, so making room for a bathtub was much harder than building a deck and footing the bill for a hot tub. I'd better get the use out of it now, because if WH gets his way, I'll be out and he'll be back in someday...

The Wednesday Plan B Soiree Joke:

After his bitter divorce following his wife’s sordid affair with Gollum, this guy from Colorado goes into a permanent Plan B by checking into a monastery in Tennessee where all the monks take a vow of celibacy (no real change in lifestyle for the Colorado guy), a vow of silence and work hard bottling bourbon sixteen hours a day. He is accepted into the monastery and is renamed Brother Bernard.

Brother Bernard works hard every day making bourbon. He sleeps on a straw mat on a stone floor and eats tasteless cold porridge (a serious improvement from his XW’s MIL’s cooking) for each meal.

After five years Brother Bernard receives a favorable performance review from the Head Monk in Charge and is allowed to speak two words. Brother Bernard says, “Bed hard.” and returns to bottling bourbon.

Another five years pass and Brother Bernard again receives a glowing review for his dedication to the manufacture of bourbon and is allowed to speak another two words. “Food cold.” replies Brother Bernard and he returns to his porridge and straw mat.

Five more years pass and Brother Bernard is allowed two more words. “I quit.” says Brother Bernard as he turns in his robes and returns to Colorado to kill Gollum.
