Well, can't really see much beyond Ursa Major round here. I live right next to I-95, with those lovely bright lights that hover over my skyline. Winter time is the best star viewing time round these parts.

Week 2 of the Soiree.

What’s the weekend plans Plan B’ers?

DD19 and I will spend some time watching the NCAA women’s games both Saturday and Sunday. More housecleaning and reorganization will happen. That doesn’t sound fun, but I have enjoyed making the house mine.

Someone here inspired me to put together a dinner party with new friends. I found it to be pretty easy to make a list of people I have met these past few weeks and some others I have known for a while but have never socialized with before. I will shoot for April 1st as it would be “Fools Day” and there is something fitting about that. This will be a first without my wife. Onward Plan B soldiers.

By the way, Frozen Dead Guy Days last weekend was just a weird as expected. One of the hearses in the antique Hearse Parade broke down and caught fire. The Morticia Adams “babes” sprawled out on the hood had to run for cover. Great stuff.

St Patricks Day party across the street tomorrow. Son's baseball game. Kids swimming lessons.

Both my kids have become huge Star Wars freaks, so I suggested to the kids that we start working on a story together -- "The Adventures of Princess DD3 and DS7 the Jedi." Maybe do some of that when I get them back on Sunday.

I hope the Disney on Ice thing is fun. I've never seen anything like that before but expect that my kids would like it.

DD19. That's funny.

Maybe I should have put DD3 and DS7 in quotes or brackets or something.

My but the party has died down! Well, I suppose after 2 weeks of solid partying we would be getting a little weary.

My weekend plans are STUNNING. Tonight, I am breaking out the grill and inaugurating it for the season: steaks on the grill with baked potatoes. Later in the evening, I am joining my entire family (DH, I, and all children) for a SpaceGhost Coast to Coast marathon...with giant jellybeans.

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the official "Sleep In Until You Wake Up Day"--at which time I shall arise and don my lowcut, light green St. Patrick's garb (suitable for Hubby's eyes only ). The rest of the day, I plan to clean house, study the bible for my lady's night, and write blogs.

Sunday is church, followed by reading and studying--possibly some gardening depending on the Pacific Northwest weather--and a rousing afternoon of watching Jeeves and Wooster. After that--pot roast for dinner and WHO KNOWS what could happen!

I'm a wild woman, aren't I? Hold me back!! (giggle)

Just went out and bought some laugh out loud comedy movies:

School of Rock
Old School
Wedding Crashers

More smirnoff coolers - watermelon this time. Hopefully nothing comes out of my nose from laughing so hard.

Also picked up guitar hero for the PS2. I had a blast playing it at Best Buy so I thought, why not? The kids will like it too!

Let the party begin.

Check ya'll later tonight.

Divorced on 3/25/2008 but I have primary legal and physical custody of my 2 kids.

I guess you can't sustain a party thread when the highlight of your weekend is sleeping til 10:30, taking a nap at 2 and then back to bed at 10.

Saturday rocked!!!! LOL

Shall we keep trying or just admit that we are boring?????

I'm not boring! Nobody here is. I was illen' and getting out of bed to go potty was about all I had in me.

I think it's good for peeps just to talk about something other than Plan B this and Plan B that.

My 'plans' for this Saturday are to take my kid to see a movie and to 'hang out' with him. If it's nice, I'll work out teaching him to ride his bike, maybe some more hot tub stuff. That's what I love about summers here. We get in the pool almost DAILY. The dogs love it too. My little terrier loves to swim adn play fetch. It is soooo cute. My greyhound lounges in the shade, coming around the pool every now and then to get doused with some water, only to return to the shade...

Mocking myself!!!!!

I really enjoy reading this thread because there are some really comedic writers!!! I laughed myself sick at the posts today when I caught up!

I was so busy last week that I didn't have time to check in until today. I was looking forward to some great party ideas...non alcoholic for me!!!!

Who's got some great plans...

Anyone with a trampoline? My kids have been soaking ours with lots of water, and sometimes even adding dish soap for an extra special experience.

i on the other hand cannot jump on the trampoline unless I buy some depends...LOL...thanks to my 4 wonderful children!!!!!

I think mommy dementia has set in for you too, IHC; I thought you had FIVE children, or is DS10#2 a typo?

well... I haven't caught up either....but now that I've scraped myself off the floor for the hundreth time...I need a good laugh....so here I am....

and I will deny being boring as well....I do like a calm evening with a movie or a book and a good hot meal...when you are with friends thats sometimes even more fun, than tying one on!!! right??

Disney on Ice was fab!! the kids loved it....DS3 even ...he clapped like a madman after every number....DD5 was stunned to see the REAL princesses and DS8 was also very happy with the show...cost me $$$ in souveneirs and snacks....very smart marketing tricks!!! but they needed a little spoiling so I didn't mind...also took them to their fav pizza place!!!

last night was the best though...I was feeling better and avoided house cleaning and indulged in the kids...we set up a huge construction set and played the day away, then ran around chasing each other to music and finally read a kids mystery to them before bed...I am more tired than if I had worked all day....the laughter really was good medicine.

Weekend 3 of the Soiree.

Saturday DD19 and I are going up to Estes Park outside of Rocky Mountain National Park (definite tourist trap but fun) to walk around the shops and then will move south along the Front Range to Idaho Springs for some Beau Jo’s Pizza for dinner. I will probably include a couple Long Island Ice Teas served in mason jars with my dinner. It’s great to have a DDDD (Darling Daughter Designated Driver). Maybe I’ll have three.

Sunday we are going up to Laramie to watch the Cowgirls play in the WNIT Elite 8 against South Dakota. That’s a fun place to see a game. It’s a very small town atmosphere and incredible support from the locals.

Let’s hear the plans Killer Bees. Life is too short to waste pouting about disease ridden nonsense spewing waywards.

Well Chris, I am going to a baby shower at a cool new steak house, which is about 5 minutes from my house and I'm not driving, so I'll hoist a couple, too! I prefer wine or martini's, but a good cider or beer will do, too.

I am going to take DS to the movies, and then probably have some din-din together. I'm going to break out the camera and get some updated photos of my son. It's been a couple of months since I've taken lots of photos, and DS loves to use the camera! I just look forward to not being ILL, and enjoying the fun of hangin' with the kid.

SL,

If we keep making Plan B look this fun everyone will want in. We better keep the noise down a little.
