Hi all! This is a very interesting read! Cool to get some idea of where the names originated.

Mine began as Still_Singing, because I was a fogged out mess and was trying to push my DH into letting me pursue my music career, even though it was the focal point of my A and still a huge trigger for him. So, after getting some much needed 2x4s here from the vets about the reality of my "logic", I decided that my name was a blatant slap in the face to my sweet DH. At that point, I changed it to Resonance, because it was still music related, and I loved the definition:

Resonance: When several strings are tuned to harmonically related pitches, all strings vibrate when only one of the strings is struck.

It seemed much more "in tune" (sorry-couldn't help it!) with what we were trying to accomplish as a couple on MB. My "nickname" of LaLa has been with me for years, and was what people at work called me...

There's my story!

Peace,
LaLa

Mine has a dual meaning to me. The first is from getting out of a tortuous five year relationship with a complete narcissist. I truly feel as if I have been set free.

The second is due to a stong desire for truth in our heavily biased family court system.

You know the saying, the truth will set you free!

14thgpr was my original name, but I shortened it to 14th when I got worried that WW might find me here.

14thgpr = one for the Gipper, as in "Win one for the Gipper." I'm a Notre Dame grad, so flame away all of you ND haters. I can take it. <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Me and my Trojans just feel sorry for you, 14th. But I'm sure the tables will turn - some day. Hopefully after I don't care anymore.

SYF-

You're such a liar, but that's OK. ND-USC is still the best intersectional rivalry of all-time IMHO.
