Hello,

My GF and I broke up recently. I first went on a break with her, which she told me hurt her a lot, and now she decided that she didn't understand why I needed a break and now she needed time for herself; so now we're broken up.

Anyway, all I keep hearing from my friends and other people that have been in this situation is for some reason after you stop talking you will most of the time receive a phone call from that person either 3, 4, 5, etc... months after not talking anymore.

My question is WHAT is the reasoning behind this, and WHY to they do this???

I've been trying to not let this break up occurr but it seems like she hates me more the more I try to pursue her now. Even some of her close friends tell me just let it go; she just needs time, she will call you because she misses you.

But I don't understand this because if we don't talk or see each other she will hook up with other people and so will I. And it will bother me more knowing that she has been seeing other people and then if she calls me 3 months later; I'm just going to be like OK let's get back together. Because I won't knowing she has been with other guys!!!!
