Dear MB Friends,

Our Killer Bee sistah, Strivn, is in Plan B and her STBXH will have the kids this weekend. Well, after reviewing the budget, she has discovered that she has a whole weekend to kill and no fundage to do so! Sooooo...MB-er's...let's help her out! What would YOU do for fun this weekend at home for free??

I'll start!

If I had the weekend to myself, I would:

1) Take a long, hot bubble bath with candles!
2) Garden--plant flowers or seeds or pull weeds.
3) Read that book I never have time to read.
4) Take a walk down by the creek--I love the sound of water flowing, because it's so peaceful.
5) Write letters to all my friends.
6) Try writing a poem.
7) Go to Walmart and wander around without any kids saying, "Mom, can we buy this?"
8) Paint my toenails
9) Put eggs in my hair
10) Make eggs and bacon and hashbrowns for breakfast and lunch!!
11) Write to some folks on MB who are newbies (aka n00bs) who are a little behind me on their journey and I could help.
12) Write in my journal.
13) Take my dog for a walk and let him smell and pee on everything he sees.
14) Listen to Evanescence and scream the lyrics because I can!
15) Throw on some Norah Jones after that to mellow out.
16) You know those DVD's that you bought cuz they were so good and you never have time to watch them? Watch one.
17) I would make hot chocolate cuz it's chocolate and warm.

NEXT!

Wow what a surprise - I love Evanescence and Norah Jones and my collection of CDs is only about 20...

I would watch movies, take a bath with candles, go to church(without the kids wriggling beside me), go to Wal Mart to pretend you actually live in the garden center, and find a project to work on at my house like gardening, painting, or repairing.

CJ,

I like your list except I am a guy. I just cannot do the paint toe nails thing.

But, I would go to a book store and just wonder around, perhaps sip some coffee, browse through a few books. Look at books I don't normally read.

Nora Jones is cool, but I think I might need some howling rock n roll. Bob Seger, some vintage ZZ top, Eagles, and of course Stones. Crank that sucker...no one home but me.

Then go for a long walk and not just look at nature, but listen to it.

THEN...I would get back to work and finish the computer program I am building.

God Bless,

JL

have a party at home with all of your friends (especially the ones you miss and haven't had time to hang out with because of H or the kids...) ask everyone to bring something.... this way it won't cost you much... only your contribution.... and then..... if you want... have a sleepover.... me and my sister have them as often as we can.... it's just fun.... and you'll have the TIME to spend on yourself...
have fun Strivin'... let us know how it goes....

I hope you use different eggs.

I would go for a walk too. YOu can walk a park, a mall, a riverbank.

Helps me clear my head. I do my best thinking when I walk.

Hi, all...thank you for all of the wonderful posts...

I'm still living at my Spon.'s house, so a few of them will be hard to do...

I'm really a bookstore freak...I spent my first weekend that way!

I have one...if I had a sinus infection, I could paint a mural with the stuff that comes out of my nose...since I don't, well, not yet...LOL...

thank you all I look forward to seeing what OP come up with!

It was good, I alept in Sat. and Sun., Hung out at the bookstore some...went to visit my aunt and uncle, ate supper with them...Sun. I peddled around, watched some TV, washed clothes, read, did some documenting...cleaned out my car a little...

Oh, I move stuff around in our room, Friday to try to make some room, packed some stuff and put it in the truck on my car and curled up with my Sponsor's dog all weekend!

Thank you for asking!
