I heard word through the grapevine that there was a man at one of our local schools threatening to kill kids if he wasn't given his...
It's a DV sitch with his wife...well, after the school called the police, the man left the school and the school is presently on lock down...
There are sveral parents at the school trying to get their kids to bring them home...
At present them do not know where the man is and there are several police officers at the school...
My cousin works there...
When it hits our paper, I will provide the link...
Prayers needed!

The school is MAYBE 1/4 of a mile from my work...

I've heard of several scary situations at schools around the country the last few days...bomb threats, crazy parents, etc.
Do your area schools have School Resource Officers, Strivin? We have an on-duty police officer at each of our schools throughout the entire school day. My H is a police Lt., and he works at the high school twice a month. Since I have a child in HS, it helps keep me at ease about her safety.
One of the infamous "school shootings" happened at our high school some years ago, so our community takes this kind of thing VERY seriously. Our kids are precious to us, and worth the investment.
I hope everything turns out well in your school's situation. Keep us posted!

Thank you...No, we do not have officers in our schools yet, but this might change things now!

No, I haven't heard anything else...there will probably be an article in the paper tomorrow...
I've been listening to the radio all day but haven't heard anything on that either...
I figure no news is good news...
