Home from work today, and was watching the court verdict of the nurse in NJ who was convicted of murdering her husband, chopping him up, putting him in the family suitcases and throwing him in the drink.

She started her affair when she was 38 weeks pregnant (GULP).

She and her affair partner (a married with kids doc) were planning on dumping their spouses, getting married, and having more kids. It was sad to see him describing how he loved her, but went home every night to spend time with his wife and kids.

Seems hubby was doing a kind of Plan A, and buying her a 2 million dollar home. But OM/doc confronted her on the day that the escrow closed, asking "what about us?"

Now hubby is dead, and she will be spending the rest of her life alone in a cell. Don't know if OM/doc and wife are working things out or not.

By the way, she was a nurse and didn't have so much as a traffic ticket on her record.

You know, she started out as a good woman, was a good mom, a nurse, etc. And the two of them did a good job of hiding the affair, only meeting for lunch, and taking off from work early. They planned on her getting divorced and later he would do the same.

But I guess she wanted it all. If she divorced hubby, she would have lost her 2 million dollar home.

It was chilling to see how darkly this thing progressed.

The day I found out my ex was cheating, I changed my life insurance beneficiary. I never believed he would have an affair, and didn't want there to be any financial gain if something happened to me. I'm a bit cynical.

I guess she took “dumping their spouses” literally...

My wife is a nurse. Guess I’ll sleep on the couch with one eye open...

Now, of course, she's lost the 2 million dollar home, 2.

...unless that's what it costs 2 build a maximum security prison cell.

Swell.

Yeah, When asked when the A started, OM testified that she started the A by giving him OS while being 38 weeks pregnant!

38 weeks! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Where are you getting your news? You left something out.

The defense suppoenaed William McGuire's affair partner. She took the stand, and she testified to their ONS on a business trip, which occurred two years before his death. After the ONS, he took her shopping to buy a ring....for his wife. Isn't that sweet?

After he returned home, he called her. He wanted to continue the affair, and she said that she recommended that he seek marriage counseling. His affair was first, BTW. And the OWs number was still on his BlackBerry......that's how they found her.

And the house wasn't 2M...more like 1/4 that much. Not a very big deal in NJ. Melanie McGuire's bail was 2M.

Well Believer, news from NJ probably winds up missing a bit in translation by the time it gets to CA!

We've been reading about it every day in the local paper here.

And actually, as far as affairs go, this isn't the only news. Our governor has an ex-wife who has gone on record as saying that his affair was part of the reason their marriage broke up. Money that the Gov gave his OW is currently under investigation.

Recently, the Gov was in a car accident and is in the hospital in very serious condition. The trooper driving him was found to be going 91 mph. It was also found that the trooper was reading his BlackBerry at the same time he was driving the Gov. What was he reading? An email from the husband of the woman he was having an affair with.

One can imagine that the email wasn't too friendly.

Meanwhile, our previous Gov, was carrying on a homosexual affair (that culminated in his giving his affair partner a $120,000/yr job for which he was supremely unqualified) while married. He has just been hired to teach a course at our state University.

What is he teaching, you ask?

Ethics.

Mostly we've read about the husband's body being in pieces. And she looked like a tiny little thing.

But what struck me the most was when they were talking about how much she must have HATED her husband. Knowing how COLD WS's can be, I thought it was more that once she was in the affair, her husband and family hardly existed in her mind. He was just an object to be disposed of when he got in the way of her affair.

Hatred? IMO, greed was the primary motivation. She wasn't going to get enough $ if she divorced him. She wanted all of it, not half.

Saw the same thing with the only Death Row resident in NJ, Robert O Marshall. He had his wife killed in the early 80s, and he was also having an A. It was about money - he didn't love her anymore, but he didn't hate her either. He just wanted the insurance $.

The OW in that case was actually pretty homely while the wife was a beauty.

Well, it's official.....SHE's GUILTY!! on four counts including murder, desecration of human remains and perjury.

Sounds like she may be in jail for the rest of her life. I hope the POS OM was worth all this....NOT!!!

These people (i.e. astronaut) who get in these affairs and are willing to throw everything away for another person are truly sick in so many ways that it can be explained.

PB, didn't know all that affair stuff about Corzine, but I'm not surprised. He's such a weasel, on the political front, as well.

Amazing about McGreevey--teaching ethics?

Like my Grandma used to say, the world's going to he77 in a hand basket. And she died way back in the seventies! Imagine what she'd think now?

Oh and the state trooper received a text comfronting him on his affaire with the cop's wife along with a picture of the family he was destroying
