Okay folks:

I'll be hittin' the road in a 2ple of days, so if any of you along the way between here and VT are interested in seeing if we can meet for a sandwich on the way, I'll be leaving SW Utah on Sunday, arriving in VT by Wednesday. Taking I-70 through the Rockies at least, then we still have a 2ple of options after that.

And for you folks between VT and OR, we'll be taking a different route west, in2 Canada and between Superior and Huron, across one of the Dakotas and on 2 central OR. Leaving the 12th and arriving in OR by the 16th.

I have my non-MB buddy with me 2 help out with driving.

I have broadband on my cell, so I'll check my email (addy below) as we progress, so if you want 2 meet up, send me an email! I might also check in here from time 2 time, but loading these pages on a cell phone is rather glacial, so I won't likely do much of it.

Now 2long, you have yourself a good 'ol time, get a littl crazy, but don't steal any wooden nickels. K?

Also, try to watch "Disappearances" with Chris Kristoferson before you go.

It was an awesome movie that took place in the "kingdom" of Vermont bordering Quebec. It was set in the 1930's while prohibition was still the law...so lots of good 'ol model T's and things.

You'll love it. Especially the majical as well as the funny parts.

Well, 2long, I'm in Topeka, right on I-70, and would guess you'll plow through here maybe Sunday or Monday from your departure time, and my offer to buy coffee (or beverage of your choice) still stands.

2Long,

(I think I sent you an email.)

I can't imagine a sensible route to Vermont that would take you near Bama. So why don't you chose some other East Coast destination, like Charleston, Savanna, Jacksonville? Then you could see me on the way!

SS:

We'll be definitely in your neck of the woods sometime Sa2rday afternoon. We'll be spending that night at OOSP.

I-80ers: I don't think we'll be taking I-80 east of Ohio, but I could be wrong. I should know before we leave on Sa2rday.

SD: I'm pretty sure we can stay on I-70 through Kansas. I think I'll need 2 ask you 2 email me. I'd hate 2 introduce you 2 my non-MB friend as "T, This is Shattered Dreams. But don't call him 'Shat' for short!"

Also, if you could email me your contact info, I can key it in2 my cell phone and give you an update when we know about what time/day we'll be heading through your neck of the woods.

I have GC's numbers keyed in already, and will be calling him on our way 2 OR after we leave Stellafane (outside Sprinfield, VT).

Denverers: I'm pretty sure we'll be going through Denver on the 6th, probably sometime in the afternoon. Timing pretty much depends on when we leave SW Utah, and whether we take a side jaunt 2 Goblin Valley on the way (I love that place, my friend has never been there - it's almost best in the summer when it's so hot that nobody else is there: Pic2re Tim Allen fighting the "rock monster" in Galaxy Quest - "See if you can find something 2 make a lathe!" ).

All: Just a reminder. This is a friend of mine who doesn't know about MB or my W's A. And since the A has been over for a few years now, but we're still recovering, I would prefer we not talk about it in front of him. Subjects like telescope making, VW vans, and antique cars are fair game, though!

Okay, I'm leaving in the morning.

Contact info, people. If I can, I'd like 2 meet some folk units for coffee or foodies along the way, but if you don't email me your contact info, I can't, well... contact you!

Uh oh. No I didn't get any emails from anybody but those drug and investment and greeting card spams.

Did you use qfwfq@iloveulove.com?

If that doesn't work, try two_long@hotmail.com

I used the qfw address twice, once got a delay notice, the other, no sign it didn't go through.

I wrote your other address this morning, so hopefully it's in time for you to recieve before you hit the superslab.

Happy traveling

Met with 2long, and his friend. Both are top notch people.

I kept them taking for 2long, but they finally pried themselves loose, and took off up the road for a 2 hour (or 2 1/2 hour ) drive to where they are staying tonight. Was good to see 2long again, it's been 2long since I have visited with him in person.

Safe journey 2long.

sd:

I got your message on the hotmail account. The qfwfq account must be flaky again. Nothing but spam getting through these days. Mailbox isn't full either. That was always the problem prior.

SS: That was really good Thai food. We'll definitely have to do that one again!

I think we're likely to be going through Denver late today. I will try one last time to check email with my cell phone as we approach, but Denverers remember to try the two_long@hotmail.com address, as the other one seems 2 not be working right now.

If I don't see ya, I'll see ya!

Glad you got it! Looking forward to your call. Dinner might be an option if your timing dictates. Hope you like BBQ?
