I was debating going blonde again a few months ago on this site, someone said I'm trying to wash this man right out of my life. Look at Brittney Spears, changed her hair color over and over again. Went brown, dirty blonde and then really blonde. An article in a trashy magazine I read - and since no one here knows me in real life I can admit I read Life and Syle - said it's typical of women going through a divorce as they are trying to find a new identity.
So here I am with a head of bleach, going from brown to orange and soon I'll see that yellow that I need. Then after an hour of bleach it's bottle number two. A pretty ash blonde that isn't really ash... I've been brown almost a year and I haven't had a very fun year. So I'm thinking it's partly my hair color. I feel that the next year will be better...
Was whining again about my ex too much lately. Going to attorney number two tomorrow. I don't like those people. But I'm going to one after another until I find one that I can at least get along with. They are a poor group of liars - lawyers. Last one tried to get me all worked up so I'd spend more money worried. One before tried that too. Now I am armed with information and I'm going to have to defend myself against my own attorney, I know that. But I want to get this over.
Another hour and I'm blonde again. That's all I care about right now. As this orange stage between brown and blonde isn't good. Then yellow to a pretty blond and viola, a new me, a new life. Even at 39 certainly there's got to be some blonde fun left right?

Warning, do not try this at home. Even woman at Sally's said this is only for "free spirit's going from brown to yellow (like a banana) to toning with blonde. It's now bright orange, luckily no one will see me this way because after another bottle and another hour it'll be yellow. Then I'll tone it and my life will be fun again. Don't do this at home. Only for free spirits that know hair grows back if completely fried.

LOL...
I always wondered why my wives did drastic hair changes right after we separated. My first wife actually ended up with VERY orange hair in a botched attempt. This caused me to laugh just a little.
Good luck on the new look

The grey was beginning to overtake my dull brown hair and I needed a change so I went red. I'm too pale to go blond.

Well today is NOT a good hair day. It's a semi orange yellow. Bought a few more bottles to try to darken in.
If it doesn't work I just might have to shave it, I forgot about that in using Britney as an example. But maybe that's why she did it, too many botched attempts at coloring?
I'm still thinking orange/yellow is better then dull brown.

I'm still thinking orange/yellow is better then dull brown. Hmmm, not so sure about that. Have you thought about highlights? That's what I do for a "pick me up".I have dark brown hair and I usually do that in spring/summer time."Sunkissed", as they say. Maybe you'll need to go to a professional colorist to undo the orange if it doesn't work out. One thing I have noticed all along thru the A and the D is I am more myself than ever. All those challenges didn't change who I am or my values. It soldified them even more. Good luck

I stopped trying to be blonde and let my highlights grow out. Then I cut it off into an adorable pixie. (Xh couldn't stand my hair short.) I'm not trying to be anyone else anymore--now I'm really me.

Well I got it to an ash blonde, had to chop of the ends I fried. This is better then yellow/orange but I'm not so sure it's quite right. Hairdresser said no more bottles for a few weeks and protein packs before the next bottle. Do not try this at home. It would have been fine if I hadn't already had it processed this winter, had highlights that I threw a bottle over so my ends are weak. Otherwise the bleaching would have turned out better. I like being blonde even if it's not quite perfect. I feel more alive, younger and fresh. I hated dull brown.

Thanks, at least I'm a cool mom with blonde hair. Really this hair color makes all the difference in the world. I didn't realize how night and day it was for me, everyone says it too. God didn't mean for us blondes to go dirty brown after kids...
