Ark,
What's the Glass Castle? just for fun or self help?
I'm trying to keep a book recommendation thread updated with every book I come across.
Someday I will actually read them all and if I don't I want them buried with me!

I would like to know how you people actually have time to read.
I barely have the time to finsih my readers digest before the new one comes out and I read that on the toilet.
Between work, 15 hours with the wife, the two evil little creatures that run around my home(most people refer to them as children), baseball, acting and then all the stuff with the school I think I need to give up sleeping just to keep up and you guys have time to have a book list?
What am I doing wrong!!!!

You can include the reading in with the 15 hours..we read together.... and then there's the booklight under the covers or hanging off of the bed....

My H likes my "warm body" next to him when he goes to sleep although I like to stay up and read sometimes...maybe this is TMI....

My minds always in the gutter though!!!! I used to be able to read an entire book in 1 -2 hours pre d-day. This drove H nuts. He was very jealous of that time. So now, I have really cut down on my reading b/c it is an LB to him. So, I get to read in spurts when he works overtime, etc. He hates to read so reading together wouldn't work, so I'm with ya Frog, how in the heck do ya'll find time to read. Keep the book recommendations coming though, still try to fit in a good book when I can.

DH and I both love to read. (very diff things tho-)
One of our favorite things to do together is browse B & N or a good Half Priced books.
This is something that we had kind of let slip through the years but when I was about 8mos. preggo with #2, tired, bloaty, etc., DH got really sick too. So we're both laying around and out of sheer boredom we pick up some books to read and then we were hooked and realized we had let go of something we used to really enjoy.
Priorities, it's all about priorities.

MIMI,
Ok my mind is usually right above or next to said gutter but it will take a dip as quick as the next guys.
So my mind just took a quick dip into the gutter and toweled off.
Just kinda funny thinking of a light under the covers considering if I had one under there I wouldn't be using it to read then come on the Hanging off the bed I didn't even need to stretch on that one.
LOL.

I may give the booklight a try but I'm not sure it will end the LB's for H. My reading reminds him of me always finding time to read before bed but ALWAYS being too tired for SF. Eventhough that's not the case now I think it still brings back those feelings for him. I'm sorry, I know you were talking about the light hanging off the bed but I pictured something quite different.

LOL...
My H HAD the same issues with reading..
Take care of the SF FIRST..he falls asleep...snuggles up lovingly against you...then READ...
I even ASKED my H about the booklight to make sure..
