There have just been too many affair based marriages and swingers showing up here lately. I have zero doubt in my mind that our collective legs are being pulled by some very sick and immature people these days.
The names change but certain deatils are always the same.... starting with involving God in this tale.

I've got a great reputation for being suckered by trolls (as you've repeatedly pointed out)...and even I have to agree with you. I've been wondering the same thing. Even the writing styles are the same each time...that's more telling than the stories themselves.

That's too bad that this forum is being used like that. I'm not seasoned enough yet to pick up on it....and I'm so caught in my own nonsense right now that it's hard to think. Is there something a newbie should look out for? I'm really trying to learn here and can't afford to be mislead right now. Also, how do you link 2 posts?

Is there something a newbie should look out for? I'm really trying to learn here and can't afford to be mislead right now. I would say that if you open a thread and it kinda makes you feel ill, then exit from it and move on to a more productive one. I come to MB when I am hurting, need to vent, or need advice. I can't get anything productive from reading about multiple partners etc. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I just don't think I will ever "get" how anyone can think Swinging is OK. If you want multiple partners, that in my book is what being single and loose is about. No one forces anyone to get married. When I smell or suspect a troll, I just don't read the posts in that thread anymore. Unfortunately the threads of this type seem to get loads of attention here on MB. Might liken it to not being able to look away from a terrible traffic accident. Who

Newbie or oldie (oldbie?), when the story is too far out, whether it is real or memorex, I do like I do when a film clip of Paris Hilton or Britney is shown on TV.....CHANGE THE CHANNEL.
If it makes you shake your head and do an eye roll.

MEDC, you are not alone in thinking this. Several others have made the same comment over the past week. This board has been the focus of trolls for years but it appears to be a more concerted onslaught with more ppl this time. Its really sad, because that only hurts ppl who really do need help. Too me that just proves what a great thing MB really is and how helpful these boards are. Attacks would only happen to people that feel threatened. What do these trolls feel threatened by? People who are willing to stand up for marriage and are willing to put the work into a marriage. Any time you have a good thing going, you can count on evil to take a stab at bringing it down.

I have wondered if our board was under attack for a month or two now.
Trolls are the funniest, easiest part to deal with IMO.
I believe there are darker forces at work than bored students.

I have been here, off and on, for nearly 8 years, and what I've noticed is that this type of dynamic ebbs and flows through the forum... over and over and over...
I believe that the VAST majority of people who post here are truly suffering... and it is for those we must survive... because there are very few other sites that offer what this one does.
Really, it's no different from the hipocrites who strut into church with attitude...
One of two things happens:
The Spirit touches them and they stay and thrive...
... or they get tired of the charade... and they don't bring their ugliness and negativity back...
