Nope, I don't want to have a problem with you... that is why I politely asked you to not post here.
As far as the answers to your questions, I will leave it to others that wish to interact with you to point that out to you. I believe Pep has already begun that process on her thread.

Thanks for your input.

Bye.

My Point of View:

Are there Trolls out there? Certainly.

And sometimes, there are mixed up people who really need some good advice and guidance.

They need someone to stand up and advise them to really look at the life they are leading and how that has proceeded beyond what is healthy.

But WHO determines a TROLL?

Defining a TROLL as someone who isn't really interested in advice, just seeing how long they can keep a thread going that isn't true.

BTW: Dear Abby and Ann Landers had this same problem with snail mail....Boys from the Ivy League always were trying to get a letter published. DA and AN figured this out before long and were always on the lookout for it in the future. So nothing really new.

Happens. But easy to sniff out.

Defining a TROLL a someone who doesn't post often, but has a different take on an issue?

Are we a band of differring opinions? Yes... and No.

WE all try to apply the Harley concepts, to the thread posters situation.

Some use a hammer, others a velvet glove.

Are we sometimes just trying to get them to "get it"?

Yes.

And until they do, it really doesn't matter.

And some, Trolls or otherwise, will dupe some of us around here, but generally not for long.

Was Eve a troll?

150 pages and then one day? Boom!

Is Amorris/PrayersNeeded/Zog? don't know. They, like others, will be reviewed for a while, and then a determination of what kind of person they really are will be made. And then everyone around here can post or not post as they see fit.

But who is really able to make a snap decision that a particular poster is a troll?

I do not think it's the number of posts that makes it easier to spot, although it might make it easier for them to see the pattern in the first type of TROLL. The second type? Sometimes just a way to discount someone who doesn't agree/see things the exact same way/suggests an alternative path to get to the same end point.

Remember, there are 300 Million folks in this country, over 100 Million marriages. And only about 1000 people here on any given week.

Type: "Saving your Marriage" into Google. 9,270,000 Links. MB comes up number 19.
Type: "Infidelity" into Google: 4,050,000 Links. MB comes up #4.
Type: "Cheating Husband" And MB Doesn't make the top 3 pages.

So, we can get them from all directions.

Trolls and people who need help. Just give them a chance to be discovered. Either Way.

Like I said. Just My Opinion.

I fail to see where anyone said the number of posts a person has makes them a troll.

Some here are just more perceptive of phonies than others LG. Sometimes it comes through life experience... other times its a hunch that winds up being right.

Thanks for your opinion LG.

MEDC:

Sort of like the "police intuition" You just knew that guy was dirty? (I know you are an ex-cop... But you had the sense right?)

I understand. Some have it, some do not. (Those cops don't hang around long)

But sometimes, it might be wrong, that's all. It doesn't take long to really sniff them out around here.

But let's not label them as such until they have had a few posts to truly reveal themselves.

Ok?

THAT is your crystal ball?

Please, save yourself the time. I've been around these boards for years too. I may not have nineteen THOUSAND posts (I don't know where you find the time, btw). I had to switch user names when the board changed, my old one never would work.

Swinging marriages may not end well... but witch hunts never end well either.

I am concerned that people will get carried away with this troll hunting expidition. What is wrong with alerting a mod or just ignoring someone who seems "off"?

How about chilling with the sanctimonious screeds, girlfriend? The only one I see on a witch hunt around here is you. You were harping yesterday about folks being "judgmental" and on "witch hunts", yet we see YOU at the front of the "witch hunt" pack spewing judgment after judgment. The harpy impression is quickly growing old.

If someone feels the board is attacked by trolls, they have an obligation to point that out. There is no reason NOT TO. It brings awareness to others and helps us flush them out. You have a problem with that, then follow your own advice and keep it to yourself.

So how about knocking off the sanctimony and doing something productive for a change? If you know anything about Marriage Builders, then get over and start posting to newcomers. That would be a lot more helpful that scolding everyone. And alot less tiresome....

I'm pretty sure that all of my "great intuition" "trust your gut" etc. signals went out the window a couple of years ago.

This is a great place. If a thread is not useful or takes a discussion of lifestyles that don't fit for those of us trying to save our marriages and family's, then just skip it, why post to it?

There are many helpful people here. Posting may help somethings, but I have found great help here from reading other posts that are current, and going back and reading posts of people that have been around a long time. It is truly amazing how the same crap shows up in our troubled marriages for each of us. The circumstances may be different from each other but the story lines are still the same.

My posts as Sarie and IRWA (It Won't Rain Always) were true.
My other ID's were just a diversion so I could post stuff (like computer
advice since I give Beginner computer lessons) or advice that would
not connect me to Sarie or IRWA. I never started any threads that would
waste people's time or take attention away from hurting people needing advice.

liar, liar! Sarie, ever the consummate liar. Her posts as Sarie and IWRA were not true, she told many lies, such as manufacturing her own mothers death in order to pimp some sympathy.

Her other aliases were set up for the purpose of attacking veteran board members, supporting WAYWARDS and her PRO-AFFAIR agenda. She loved to confuse and confound brand new members into not interfering with the WS' affair [ "its ok to allow your H to talk to the OW on the phone right in front of you! Don't interrupt the affair!"]

But according to her, her lies were not "lies" just her "pretending to be a fiction writer." **snort**

Trolls? Unless you have reading here for about 4-5 years, most of you haven't seen nothing yet. About 4-5 years ago there was a few from the old gloryB board who are the epitome of a troll (aka: OWs). They bashed the JFO, GQII and even the pregancy/child boards big time. Or so they thought. What happened there was the MB board came together as a unit and flushed them out. Pep, Mel & BR, you remember those 2 posters.....they even tried to lock up the thread with endless babble, just for the sake of building up their post count. It infuriated the preg/child board big time and a few of us were called over to JFO & Preg/child boards to help out.

What has been visible lately is not so much of trolls as trolling. Assumptions being made up the ying yang all to the disadvantage of people who are actually asking for help.

I don't expect all to agree with me or everyone but if you suspect a troll....then move on. The one constant thing a troll needs to survive is attention and the ability to successfully babble. Take away those 2 tools and they are useless and helpless. Then they eventually leave. Trolls have no endurance, just like to take short shots and run.

An effective way is to 'kill w/kindness'. While some of you MAY think I support some of the so called troll posts.... you are really paying attention to well.....

I've got a very good troll detector. I can spot 'em a mile off.

I know I shouldn't but I always bait them. They p me off lol.

I haven't been following the latest but they'll go away eventually, they always do. Oh, expect for our notable exception who emailed MEDC.

IWRA sent an email last night that she is banned and blocked from this site and cannot even view it. I hope this will help her find a "real life" with her husband, and I truly hope and pray that she gets the help she needs.

I wonder what's changed that now she can see what's being posted? I also wonder why she's even looking at a site she's 'not supposed to be able to post to' anymore? At a site that her name is still equated with "Troll Poster Child of the Year"?

If she's now able to view the site, I'm wondering if the restriction against her posting is still in place? If not...this falls under "things that make you say hmmmm....".

Personally, I think calling out "TROLL!!!" when it is suspected is a good thing...First, it lets the "troll" know that you are on to them, secondly it warns others and lastly it helps to prevent them from spreading their usual "pro affair propoganda"...

Hey, when I first came here, I was called a troll by 2334Pem, who thought I was her FWH's OW...I didn't even know what a "troll" was at the time, I'd never posted on a message board at the time...I did my best to allay her fears by posting as much about my own personal sitch as I felt was necessary...I was very sincere...

That sincerity was spotted by my pal MelodyLane, who thankfully jumped to my defense...That chicka has a great "troll spotting device"-Let us not forget how instrumental she was to busting up the IWRA/Sarie fiasco...People, like she and Pep, that have that well honed troll spotting instinct are NEEDED and APPRECIATED here...

LOL Arsenio Owl!

Hey, I could start my own show!! And then...err...umm...people could punch me in the nose too? Hey, wait, this isn't sounding like such a good idea after all. Hehehe

Now, I'm sure there are a few here that would volunteer to punch me in the nose...

this might explain a few things.

Everything is fine here, Robert, thanks for asking.
Life is good. We now have 8 adorable grandchildren.

My husband and I will be married 43 years this week.
(I am 61 years young.) LOL We are happy.
He has been retired for a year so we spend ALL our time together.

I hope all is well in your life also...I think it is just great
that you adopted a little girl...to give love and a good home to.

I have one request:
Could you be so kind to delete my name from the post on
your MB thread.

Thank you so much.

By the way, when Justuss took away my privileges of writing on MB,
for several months, I could not even read the message board...I could
only read the home page with the Harley information. They do know
people's PC identification numbers so they really could check if someone
seems to have more than one ID.

I was surprised when I read that Mr Wondering posted with a fake ID
when his wife started posting...she told on him a few months ago. LOL
Hard telling who all has more than one ID...

Oh well, like I said, all I do is read...maybe if I ever want to say something,
I will ask you to post it for me.

Again, thanks for putting my note on your thread.

Sorry, but reading this makes my blood BOIL!!! How DARE that PRO AFFAIR TROLL compare what Mr. W did in posting to ME-his OWN WW-to the HAVOC that she wreaked here on this board!!! That is NOT even in the same ballpark...What a FOGHORN she remains...I'm certain that she STILL hasn't told her husband of her affair...WHAT A SICKO...Oh and if you are are reading this IWRA...Don't ever let our names (Mr. W and myself) roll off your fingertips when typing or tongue when talking...BE GONE!!!

Mrs. W

ETA: At the time Mr. W only had ONE posting name...He had yet to register as Mr. W...I posted here first..."Fake ID"...PUHLEASE!!!

errrr

IWRA can _____ me.

It wasn't a "fake" name. It was the name I posted under unbeknowst to Mrs. Wondering at the time she was going through withdrawal. As far as she knew...we were both posting exclusviely under the same name at the time (The_Wonderings) and just signing it Mr. or Mrs. Wondering. Problem was...when I was at work...if I logged in under The_Wonderings it would log her out. I needed my own name to post under and staying anonymous gave me the freedom to speak my mind without ticking off my still then foggy early recovering posting wife.

I haven't posted under any other ID since mid-2005 when I eventually registered as Mr. Wondering.

Not that I need to explain myself to a troll.

MDEC...why are you given this harmful woman any audience and posting de facto for her? Don't bother answering...she's gotten enough attention already.

Sure her marriage is "happy"...her husband has no idea about the OM from Florida his wife had an affair with. IWRA is an unrepentent troll and I commend the powers that be for banning her from these boards.

BTW, y'all left another alias ID of IWRA's off the list. She was also "Celt", portraying herself as a tough Betrayed Husband of all things.

Mr. Wondering

Mr. W... I think it adds to the discussion regarding trolls.
