[color:"green"] Yahoo Article [/color]

This was so interesting that I wanted to share it.

Though there are a few things that I don't agree with, his suggestions about opposite-sex friends, to name only one, it is more sensible than most mainstream media dissections of infidelity.

Still, it's not Harley. (I end up saying that a lot.)

I just began wondering how the little microcosmic slice of global life on MB would compare with whatshisnames star system.

So, whether you were the BS or the WS, which of the following categories brought infidelity into your relationship?

I will start right off with a big fat X next to co-worker.
Through which avenue did a 3rd (or more) party enter your relationship?

Adoring fans of my DD's dad's band. Adoring fans willing to do anything, anytime, anywhere with the guys in the band.

Yanno, Neak...

After being on MB and reading all the stories here, I will never trust anyone with my future husband. No one. And I guess that is a good thing according to Harley, but it makes a person feel kind of like a cynical, paranoid, psychotic biotch.

Don't it?

Yep, after reading some of the stories you realize you can't even trust your own mother around your husband.

Well, ok, I do trust my mother and my husband together, but apparently not everyone can.

Cynical? Naw, just practical.

Yep, I remember back in the day when I would have thought of fish when I heard that term...or are they crappies, or groupers???? LOL

Neak, I guess older and wiser is one way of looking at it.

ok, ready for this?

opposite sex friend
a co-worker
a drunken stranger (actually, there were about 5 or so of those)
his friend's cousin (who so nicely had him travel to boston with him whenever he went so my ex could hang out with his cousin)

i think that about does it.
my ex went on quite a little [censored] fest there for about 4 years. ow is co-worker (well, comrad from the fire dept, they are both on the same squad) and he lives with her now. no new infidelities since he moved in with her as far as i know... she either was the cureall or it is only a matter of time. she broke up her marriage of a whole 5 months to be with my ex.... to be continued.

I was hoping you would trust me - but that's OK, We'll just make sure you are always there if I spend any time with him.

LOL SS! He's not your type, so you I trust.

Actually, the reason I would not trust anyone with GB is because it is becomming more and more clear that most people simply do not see the big picture... their short-sightedness makes them untrustworthy.

I try sometimes to have a conversation with non-MB educated friends and they simply do not understand the importance of saving marriages, for families or for our society. They do not understand the sacredness of the marital relationship. They don't even understand the damage to their own integrity, much less the damage to others.

You would think that with so many people experiencing infidelity in their own lives cheating would begin to cease in larger and larger numbers, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's weird to me that this is so, why people who are so much more intelligent than me seem to be completely intellectually blind to the big picture.

Funny that is exactly how I feel. I sometimes think I am a hopeless case. Any guy who even says hello I think "player, cheating on a wife or worse" and many other married women I know are spending every waking moment keeping away some loonatic OW. So I wouldn't even let my sister near my future husband - I know she'll totally understand, bless her dear heart- She thinks my WH is the greatest jerk this side of forever.

Well, I am surprised to see that the top 2 are in the order that the article predicted. I would have thought for sure that co-workers were worst, but maybe I'm biased.

Who would have guessed that 'other' would be even more deadly than the drunken stranger?

SS, I would trust you with AJ any time.

A thought just occurred to me. Is it the other people we can't/shouldn't trust or is it our partners that we can't/shouldn't trust! It takes two to tango!
