I feel like I am truely at my wits end. my husband and I have been married for almost 14 years. we have 4 children (3 of our own and 1 from my relationship--as a teenager). my husband and I met on a blind date and married 6 weeks later. we didnt really know eachother and have since paid the price for that. we a re so different--we come from different backgrounds im from new england, hes from the south, he has a background of physical and emotional abuse (although physical issues do not apply to us). He does have an anger problem. we do not agree on anything. the kids are suffereing, we are suffereing, we are in extreme debt. my main issue is that whenever we talk, its me talking and him doing nothing--he gives no suggestions. I feel he has an "oh well, there's nothihng I can do so why try" attidtude, whereas I feel like there is always something we can do, we just have to think about it and try different things. I guess my question is, how much do I try with someone who is radically different and doesnt seem to want to make changes. Ive been told many times, "Thats how I am". Im so depressed and miserable. I have gone back to food again for comfort (had previously lost 40 pounds--Ive gained it back). can this program help???
