Hello-
I just found out my husband of 13 years has been hiding a secret of internet gambling for 6 months. I thought we finally had arrived at our "prime" and were living the American dream. Now, I am hit with this shock. He has accumalated debt from this careless activity and I am so upset and hurt by his actions. I feel like I should be a character on one of those cheesy talk shows. But, this is my reality. He is working a second job to pay this off and going to counseling(gambler's anonymous) meetings. However, I still always feel I will be scared this will happen again in the future. What should I do?

Your husband must have been bored and seemed to have turned to this horrible habit. At least he is really making an effort and working to pay it off and also councelling. I think you may need to monitor his behaviour for a while. he may need to address his boredom issue and find something more productive to do in future.
