Well, it is official now. The case worker informed me today that the family re-unification process will remove my foster daughter for a period of no less than 90 days for a trial period with her family. While I am big on parents rights, I am not too find of the idea of bouncing a child around like this very comforting.
At the end of the day, it may be better for her to be with her family...but right now, I think it is best for her to be here with my boy and me.
Several things this experience has taught me...
there is more room in my sons and my life to care for other children not to completely trust the system that seems to forget that kids have feelings too that even when I get frustrated by decisions out of my control, that this is much more troublesome to the children involved continue to make every day count
thanks to all of you that have continued to wish me well regarding this journey.

Oh, MEDC, I think she is better off with you too. After going through stuff with my step-kids, and my son's half sister, I think parents rights are highly overrated, when the parents are unfit.
I have friends that have taken in over 200 kids, for various lengths of time. Their take is that they are there to do what they can for a child as long as they can. It takes a strong person to do what you have done. Prayers and blessings to you and your son, and the little girl.

Hi MEDC...just wanted to let you know that I will be praying for your DD and her continued well being during this difficult time for her. Also for you and your boys too!
What a blessing you are...not only to us, but to your boys and DD...I'm sure that she has learned SOOO much for you and your family!
best wishes!

MEDC,
I wanted you to know that I did read your post and am continuing to pray for you, your S and your DD...but at this moment I'm too sad to post anything effective or encouraging. I will say that I wish children were treated like the dearly, precious gifts that they are rather than pawns in a political game. But that's reality.

CJ...
the way I look at it I am happy for the time I spent with her and hopeful that a life long bond between our family and her will exist. If it is meant for her to come back, she will...her room will be ready for her return should it happen.
S4B Thank you.
