I have been reading MB for a year, since I found out about husbands affair of 20 years ago. Last year he developed an EA with a waitress while out of town. i think, but can't prove that he has done similar things before. I KNOW that he has not told me the whole truth about the EA. I had a meltdown last night, we drove by a similar restaurant. Asked him why he thought she was so special. He will not talk to me about it anymore. Everytime he has explained things, I get a different story, so I figure he is lying. He has said he is sorry (for hurting me). my question, How important is it for him to admit the truth to himself as well as to me. He has said things to the effect that what he did was not wrong. Since he didn't have sex (he says) then nothing happened. I think that since he can't admit that an EA was wrong, he will probably do it again. Am I expecting too much? He wants me to forget the whole thing and move on. I try, but every now and then I cannot cope. I feel I need answers, truthful answers. am I becoming neurotic? the Marriage counselor says it will take two years to heal from this. He encourages WH to be patient and truthful.
