If someone is insecure, will they cheat?

I don't think being insecure alone is enough to "cause" someone to cheat. I think we're all insecure to some degree, but not everyone cheats.

True, because if someone is confident and secure, they could also cheat. But isnt a person that is insecure more prone to cheat?

Yes, a person who is insecure is probably more prone to cheat. And so is someone who is not honest.

If you don't trust this woman, do you think you ever will?

You have an uneasy feeling in your stomach, right?

Let me ask you two questions:

1) Do you see a way for that uneasy feeling to go away?

2) Are you prepared to live with that feeling for a long time?

Your situation reminds me of a gf I once had. She was dishonest and she used to cheat on me. I kept trying to change her and she just wouldn't change. Then one day it hit me: I had to change. So I left her and it was the best decision I've ever made.

There are other fish in the sea, my friend. You aren't married, there are no children. I think it might be time for you to move on and find someone who is honest and trustworthy. There are plenty of good women out there. But, by staying with your gf, you guarantee yourself that you will never meet one of them.

Just my 2 cents. I don't mean to be harsh or to make it sound as though I know more than you do. I have been down a similar road as you seem to be travelling on now, though.

I think a person who is insecure is much more apt to cheat, especially if they already prone to it, anyway.

I never saw my H as insecure, but I am just beginning to realize what a bad H he has actually been to me all these yrs. Having found out about his A has actually made me stop to think about the type of person he truly is. He is a habitual liar and very controlling person. I never realized it before now so his cheating was a real eyeopener to me. I think people who lie must be insecure to some regard.
