This story is confusing. I got the impression that the deceased was her husband, but rereading it, it seems not. Still sad though.

They were never married. They were an on again off again relationship. Who knows why and another man came in and now they are engaged.

Quite right. Children with someone does not equal marriage. In fact, it suggests to me a serious lack of commitment to the "relationship".

The problem was jealousy on the part of the killer. And probably derangement as well if he thinks that seven months of parenting amounts to much.

Sometimes the infidelity glasses need to be removed.
