AJ went to the DMV today, and ended up chatting with the man in line ahead of him. It turned out they were both there for registration issues to do with boats.

This poor man ...

His wife wanted a fancy car, which he (foolishly) got her, but then had to work even harder to pay for. She complained that he was now gone all the time, and instead of just selling the car like a sensible person...she started an A.

The BH found out about it one day, when he came home and found her in bed with someone. He told her to pack her stuff and get out, then he left for a while.

Coming back in the wee hours, he was dismayed, to put it mildly, to find the fire department there, extinguishing the remains of his belongings, including his boat, which had been dragged out to the street, stacked, and incinerated.

The story would have ended there, had the neighbor across the street not been "coincidentally" watering his lawn at midnight. He saw the WW doing this, with the assistance of the OM.

Now both of them are in jail, waiting to find out what happens to adulterers who try to crush the BS in illegal ways.

That poor man may be devastated, but he has to be left with the feeling that there is justice in the world.

Sometimes sooner, sometimes later, the guilty are always punished.

And they all lived ever after.

You know, I thought it only 'just desserts' when I saw that scene in "Waiting to Exhale" when the BW did that to her WH's car.

I hope there is no attorney in the world who can get these two schmuks off. I know that, if convicted, this will follow them the rest of their lives. Wouldn't you like to explain that felony conviction to a prospective employer?

You are so spot on here. This is one of the dynamics that amazes me about affairs. The WS's hate, anger, etc towards the BS and how it really doesn't manifest itself until they are caught in their lies of having the affair or the affair is exposed. They are like rabid dogs wanting to kill someone. On the other hand it SHOULD BE the BS ready to take a cane pole to the WS's butt in no short order, not the other way around.

It was the new boat that got burned, and there is not a new new boat yet.

He was having to replace the paperwork, since the insurance would not pay out without paperwork, and the WW had burned the papers inside the boat.

Also, AJ just remembered that the man lived down south, but was up here staying with his mom.
