Hello,
I am currently looking for any ideas on how to make money by working from home during maternity leave for 6 weeks and posible keep this as a secondary income after I return to work. Does anyone have an idea? I see all the work from home and make $100's of dollars but find that hard to believe. Are there any stay at home moms or dads that have found a steady way to make money from home? Please share your ideas.
Thank you!

I belong to a moms club where some of the women have their own business. Some of the things they do are: gift baskets, pampered chef, home organization, photography, make-up/home spa (like Avon and Mary Kay)...just to name a few.

I got super duper lucky ten years ago when I landed a job with a news transcribing company out of New York. I record the news, also do some online streaming shows, type the headlines and send them to the company. I have three kids so it has worked out wonderfully. I DO work, but I'm always home for them.
My company isn't hiring, or I would give you their name.
One name I know of that is legitimate and hires people to work at home is AudioVisual Transcripts. Here is their website: avtranscripts.com.
I don't know if they're hiring at this time, but if you're good on the keyboard, check them out.
Good luck.

Thank you for all of your advice. I am currently working as an administrative assistant for a financial company so perhaps something like the AudioVisial transcripts would suit me. I will look into that and some of the ideas Bringiton suggested.
Anyone else have ideas?
