Caught!

Hi Jo <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My other computer refused me entrance to MB posting for the last many many months, but apparently my laptop is ok with it. I can't believe I remembered my password after all this time.

We're good. Just passed the 7 year mark in recovery. We entered the empty nest phase of life last fall as our younger D also went to college. Some adjustment with that, and surprisingly an old thought resurfaced that maybe once the kids were gone we wouldn't be able to figure out our marital relationship without in house parenting...but we did. And though we miss the daughters, we've gone to see them and paid their way home a couple times.

Life is simply very good. We're kicking around ideas for H's retirement from the military in the next couple years, once we aren't paying for 2 kids in college. Crossing our fingers in the meantime that he won't be deployed a third time.

So, Jo, how are you? I really hadn't read here for a long time until today.

Wow! Kids in college, retirement on the horizon. Sounds like life for you and husband has all sorts of opportunities ahead.

3 tours? I didn't know they could be deployed that many times. Guess I'm militarily ignorant. I sure hope he doesn't have to go again.

I'm GREAT, thanks for asking. My current job has me traveling all over the world, too bad I dislike traveling. Good news is I'm moving to another group soon where I only travel to Texas on occasion. I plan to visit MelodyLane if only to give her a good [censored] kicking. LOL

Other than that, my personal life is damn good. I get to do what I want when I want. I dated a bit, but it gets so complicated soooo fast, and I don't want anyone telling me what to do. Its the YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME syndrome.

I'm like you, I come back to MB post for a while to keep paying it forward. Then take a sabbatical. I owe this membership my life, literally. I can never repay the people here for getting me thru all those terrible things that once were my life. Its like I'm a different person.

Warmly,
Jo

Hi FF, how are you? I think the posts I wrote to you might have been among the last ones I wrote.

Just have to ask...is this the Lor of the big long post recounting the whole thing...who didn't have a Plan B personality, who lit a candle everyday, whose H got sick and called her....

If so, I just wanted you to know that I printed it out and it's in a drawer. I read it many, many times. So thank you for taking the time to write that all out...it was quite long....but your voice came through so clearly to me.

Thanks....

Nope Sis. This is Lor, screen name "Lor(LOR)"

I think you're thinking of Lori, screen name "Lostva".

Jo, I'm so sorry, your post didn't show up until just now. Honestly, mine was the last response I saw. I am so glad you are ok. You stick in my heart.

Ark,hi, you have my respect. I've always appreciated your input.

LilSis, much as I love Lori/Lostva, I'm not her. My bad times were much more long term than hers. I saw her arrive, I saw her recover.

Any more that I say will not sound good.

I've posted to you. My marriage is recovered through 18 months of Plan A. I tried Plan B twice. My H was involved with the kids and I kept seeing him, well, he was coaching the team and I wasn't stayin home and not seeing our daughters play....

Plan B did not work for me. I respect MB. I had a fantastic local Christian counselor, a FWS himself. Nothing got by him. Find yourself a counselor. Our C, still in his first marriage, became one of my H's most beloved people, though H hated him at first.
