To me...that comment would get the focus drawn to what this site is built on..."marriage". Adultery is committed against the marriage as much as to the BS as a person.
To call it an affair seems to be downplaying it. When I looked up "affair" in the dictionary, the only mention of marriage was when it said that it is "A romantic and sexual relationship, sometimes one of brief duration, between two people who are not married to each other." It doesn't say they are married to anyone...so an affair can be between unmarried people too.
Now..the word adultery... [color:"red"] "voluntary violation of the marriage bed," [/color]. Now if that isn't call a spade a spade...I don't know what is.
Sounds like it could be beneficial to remind WS that they are not simply in an affair...they are committing adultery. 2x4? Nope...cold hard fact.
