Sorry, I love my dogs and I don't condone cruelty to animals at all. However, this is not cruel treatment IMO, and...
After both of my dogs got out without their collars and were gone 1 and 2 nights respectfully on the coldest night of the year, and I was out until 2 AM putting up "Lost Dogs" signs, seeing the beagle (the instigator) learn her lesson the hard way was pretty funny.
