Much respect, Pep. I hope you enjoy your retirement!

Now, for the rest of you *I* NEED YOU, so you stay put! (is that a selfish demand-hmmmmm?)

It is true, Pep is leaving...and I am sad.

She will be sorely missed...

BTW, she is sending me something in the mail...and I am scared!!!

[P.S. She also is passing the "Southern California Fruits and Nuts Gathering-Organizer-Baton" to me. So y'all are stuck with me planning these shindigs from now on! ]

Pep has retired from the boards, y'all. Her contributions to this board have been enormous. I will dearly miss her around here and hope she pops back in to say hey sometime. Love ya Pep!
!

Well this is a sad loss to this forum. Pep could say more in two sentences, than most of us could express in 8 paragraphs.

Retirement sounds like another move into a different stage of our lives, each of which cannot be denied or ignored. Life, in all it's stages, is inevitable. None of us can ignor it's domain over us.

Pep has always been a leader, and, in keeping with her wonderful leadership, she has once again taught me the intangible. When it's time to move on, one should heed life's beckon and calling.

All Blessings to each and every one of you!

I'd sad and in shock (selfishly for me) but happy for Pep and Mr. Pep....

Pep wished me "Happy Movie Making" on Sunday and I've been off making a movie and now that I'm back, she's gone.

But I'm glad I spent the hour making her a cake that she said she loved, so in honor of her contributions to the many many MB marriages, I'm re-creating it here...enjoy....and thanks Pep.

Pep, I posted birthday greetings to you on the 07 07 07 thread early this morning but couldn't find the birthday cake icon.

So I created a home-made triple decker with fudge frosting.

Edited to show the piece that Pep ate before she said she loved it! Thanks for noticing, Pep (and Jo). My first attempt must have been too rich....it disappeared before I could hit 'submit'...must have been those hungry "mods".

So many questions...

Who's gonna keep them Texans in line?

Who's gonna drop a one liner into a thread that is in serious need of lightening up?

Who's gonna help us all remember the Beatles?

Rock on, Pep! You'll truly be missed...

Mimi and Mark,

Today I was reading the thread and when I scrolled down to the end, up popped the "Mr. Pep" note saying he/she was fixing the thread..... "Pepperbands" had only 1 post at the time. By the time I got the cake I had posted there moved to this thread and deleted on the N.P. thread, he/she had 7 posts.

How many years has she been here? 7+.....Uhhhhh, she'll be in withdrawal for awhile, won't she?

I do have a question for Mark....maybe Mimi can help us:

Mark----> Mister Marriage/Mackerel-making-thread- Man..........with Pep gone, we need to start another fishing/marriage fan club.....who else will post smilies and grins after your magnificent posts on marriage and fishing? Mimi?

Maybe Justuss or anoher mod can pin that thread to the top of the Recreation forum and lock it so Pep's name and smiley will forever be the last posted.

I've asked her and Tempest but haven't heard anything definitive yet. If that's possible, maybe then we can start another Fishing thread with your new ideas....K?

Hi Starfish,

Saw your posts to Pep & Mimi on the Notable Post thread pinned above GQII.

I was off the boards when Pep left last week, too.

This is the thread with the discussion that Mimi started.
