These two groups of verses struck me as having to do DIRECTLY with either infidelity or the growth that we BS's are forced into when our WS's are unfaithful:

Psalm 94:12-13:
12Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord, and teach out of Your law,

13That You may give him power to keep himself calm in the days of adversity, until the [inevitable] pit of corruption is dug for the wicked.

]b\James 1:12-15:[/b]
12Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied) is the man who is patient under trial and stands up under temptation, for when he has stood the test and been approved, he will receive [the victor's] crown of life which God has promised to those who love Him.

13Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one.

14But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions).

15Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.

I understand that not everyone here is a believing Christian, so I'm not trying to "debate" Christian religion here. I just think these two verses really say something about infidelity. The first group says that we are BLESSED when God instructs us and chastens us...and I know I was sure learning a LOT through my spouse's infidelity and subsequent divorce!! The second group talks about how EVERYONE is tempted...but that when we are we shouldn't say that "God" tempted us. Nope, we are tempted by our own LUST! And sometimes we lust after sex, drugs, money, happiness...whatever. Lust leads to sin...and sin leads to death...and in our instances, sometimes our spouse's lust leads to the sin of an affair, and that leads to the death of our families.

Talk amoungst yourselves. As I said, I'm not trying to debate the Christian religion here--just do you relate? What do you think this means? What does it mean to you? Do you hear any message? That kind of thing...

Your faithful friend,

CJ,

I think both verses 12 say the same. I believe verse 13-15 under James are a similar comparison to verse 13 of Psalm.

Me personally, I think verse 14 in James sticks out for me.It says to me that if the conditions are right anyone could have an affair. Something we have read through the books of Dr. Harley. I have to agree with you on verse 15.

Just my opinion
