Where to start? My wife and are have been married going on 4 years. I'm 24 and she is 23. We've been together 7. We have two beautiful daughters 1 & 5. We've had alot of problems because I am not working right now. She has a great job @ a hospital and we can't afford daycare for both and all the other bills so it's saving us money me staying home. That is where the problem lies I believe. She doesn't see me having a future and she doesn't have the sense of security. She recently has started talking to a guy friend and she admits there are mutual feelings. I've told her I would start work overnight and start taking some early evening classes. She seems to be confused right now about what she wants me to do. I don't know if she is stringing me around right now or what. I've read txt messages from the guy in question one of them was "you better know what you want to do". That right there makes me optimistic probably when I shouldn't be. I love my wife very much and have already told myself if anything happened with said guy I would forgive her. She says she is still deciding what to do but I'm a wreck. I don't want to push her to make a choice, I'm just trying to work on myself right now. Any advice or comments are welcome. Thanks

i don't really have any advice to offer. i feel for you. my ex had many affairs and our marriage ended.
i just wanted to say that i hate it when those we love put us in positions like this. you married her, so you are going through some rough times? that doesn't mean you go and find a guy friend to cry to! how does that make things better? and now she is "confused" and doesn't know what she wants. you shouldn't have to deal with that from another person.
i am sorry for your pain and i hope things work out for you. i just hate seeing this happen over and over again. why do people in relationships think turning to someone else is going to make things better? gets me going.

Besides staying home with the children to save money on childcare, what are you doing to meet her emotional needs? What is she doing to meet yours?
There is not a lot of traffic here. It might be a good idea for you to post this same message on either the Emotional Needs board or the General Questions II board.
