Mortarman, I haven't talked with you in a while.

What's the update on the pregnancy, delivered or pending?

God bless!

Hey FH...thanks for the inquiry!

I have been so busy this summer. Trying to get a new business up and running. At the same time, chasing after the kids...and trying to make-up for the lost wages of my wife because of her reduced work schedule (sue to the pregnancy).

We got a little concerned about 6 weeks ago, when she had some bleeding. The doctor put her on bed rest, which seems to have fixed whatever the problem was. But, as I said...I am out trying to make up for lost wages!!

Mrs. Mortarman is doing as well as can be expected. The new boy is huge, and we are less than 5 weeks from when he is due. Of course, Mrs. Mortarman is somewhat miserable right now, as all you gals can attest to. Pain, sleep issues, feeling drained, as well as just wanting to not be pregnant anymore...well, you get the idea!

But dont let me put a dark cloud on it. We are doing well. She is excited about the baby. So am I. So, in a couple of weeks, he should be here.

On the recovery part, we couldnt be doing better. It is kind of crazy how just a year ago, all that was going on. And now, we are closer than ever. Steve Harley said one time that she would snap out of the fog one day...but that no one knew when that would happen or what she would do once it did. Well, it took 4 years and a lot of crap to get there...but it is obvious she is a different person.

The alien has left the building.

I have gotten a lot of insights over the last 10 months from her about everything that went on. Some were things I knew. Others, were things that I had hoped and found out that they were true. But the one thing I have learned being on this side of it, is that Dr. H does have this down to a science. And as scary as the thought is, many times we have less freedom than we thought we had. That under certain conditions, these things will happen...and they will progress in almost predictable ways.

So, thanks for the shout out. I just need to get thru the next 4 weeks, and then I can relax. I know...some of you will be saying "not with a new baby in the house." But, kids have never been a problem for her or me. The relaxing is to get past my wife's medical issues (pregnancy and back) and us moving forward.

So far, so good! Of course, it wasnt until I fully got out of the way that she came out of the fog.

I wonder WHO was responsible for that??

Good to see you too, RIF. Hope you are keeping your head down and your powder dry.

FH...we are getting to be old farts! I have a 15 year old son as my oldest...and now a new one in a few weeks. I could be a grandfather before this one is out of the house!

And yes, I went to see the doc and he advised me on what caused the pregnancy. I think I now get it, which is why I am scheduled for a little surgery in October!

Just so long as he isn't related to Elena Bobbit!

I used to live a block from where the Bobbitt's lived? And passed by every morning the point on the side of the road where she threw out the offending appendage.

Ginsu anyone???

btw, I hear that a claymore costs less and is very effective, if you might be looking for and alternative.

Uhhhh....it was "Lorena", NOT "Elena" Bobbitt.

But it really makes no difference....well sorta. It might to some folks.

Ace

Congrats MM!

You can't be an old fart w/ a 15 yr old and another one on the way. It's impossible.

FH,

Being a grandfather is pretty cool. Mine is 16 months and I can't believe how she's grown. You get to play w/ 'um, spoil them and hand them back to their parents to change their diapers.

Be Good ya'll. Blessings to ya.
