I remember something about after a divorce that if the couple were married 10+ years they are entitled to the other's Social Security after death. True?

From what I have learned that is true...but you have to claim it before any new interest does...I know my ex married his bimbo...and I would have to beat her to SS. I don't look forward to trying to do that when the time comes.
