OK people it's almost the weekend.....so what are our plans???

I know it's a race weekend here at the track. And some of my good friends are moving here from CT and get here this weekend. As well as friends who are part of race teams who are just in town for the race.... one of my good friends is the head of communications for Ferrari and Ashton Martin....And then foot ball is sunday as usual and I have to make food for the boys on base...but I guess the girls arn't getting together this week...I am on my own *sniffle*

What about you's guys?

I have a second date on Saturday that is featuring dinner at my place, her first visit to it. I have a tentative offer for a M&G (meet and greet) for Friday night with someone I have been corresponding with for quite a while. If that falls through, I'll head up to the town meeting hall (the local pub) and put in an appearance. It's also likely that the neighbors will be out in the evening for one of our neighborhood gatherings. Sundays are my day to listen to my once-weekly favorite radio show and to putter around the house. The is a good chance I'll BBQ at my best friend's house Sunday afternoon. The weather is supposed to be very good here this weekend making all sorts of things possible.

My posts are beginning to sound repetitive
Friday - STAY Home. Put away laundry, straighten the house.
Saturday: Girl scout camping training. Did you know that girl scouts aren't allowed to camp or build a fire without 10 hours of training?
Sunday, church, and clean my office
Sunday night, drop into bed exhausted. Onto another week.

I'm thinking of switching jobs within my company. I'm so underwhelmed by my current position that I can't muster up the energy to actually pursue the job even though it's a great one.

I have to work on Saturday til 12:00PM, then I'm headed to Dahlonega for Gold Days.

At $90.00 an hour, you bet I'm working!

GF says I can get a gigantic TV for Christmas.

leaving work early to meet someone [i met a while ago and have seen for lunch a few times] for shopping at the mall before i head to youth group. after we take the kids home, then i'll probably hang out with my best friends (the youth pastors) for a few hours talking, eating pizza, and playing games. i'm bringing niagara (spiel des jahres 2005) and a cute, little, fast, easy card game some people in the group like called for sale. but it's also possible we may end up playing magic til 3:30am like last week. at times, it's kinda nice not having a wife tell me i should be in bed.
so saturday, i'll sleep late and then work on my business unless anyone invites me to do something. i've also decided i am going to try to take trips to maybe nyc every month. or maybe i'll rotate the destinations, no where that far but just see new places and have fun.

OK A2B2A,
Where exactly do you live? And would you like a companion to meet on your NYC trips? I need to get myself out more, and am more apt to do it if I'm meeting someone.
I'm not proposing a date, merely a companion to sightsee.
There's so much to see in the city, and I need to motivate myself to explore it more.

i think that'd be fun newly. i live near saratoga springs (about 30 minutes north of albany). i'd probably get up early on a saturday morning and drive down. yes there's so much to see. i definately want to do a lot of the touristy stuff, maybe do a museum visit one day, and think it'd be fun to see a broadway show. i'd probably stay the night saturday and do a bit more sunday and then leave after lunch. i found a really nice hotel when i went this summer in the financial district that had great weekend prices and they had a good package with valet parking and an awesome breakfast buffet. but it might be better to stay more uptown depending on the agenda. i know winter's approaching but i'm thinking maybe nov 10-11 or nov 17-18. if you're interested, reply back and i'll get you my email addy or if others are interested too, we could open up a new thread/message here kinda like another MB meetup

I'm hoping to have my kids both of those weekends.
(If X abides by the holiday schedule).

It's far easier for me to get to the city than to Albany.

Do either of you ski? I could use an excuse to drive north.

i'm usually pretty flexible but taking youth group to zion bible college in rhode island this weekend, then my child's bday, 2 open weekends, then it's thanksgiving weekend which is sure to be crazy, or is it? how would early december sound to people? i love ny but not enough to tromp around in really cold and snow mlhb - if you ever move out of state, almost everyone you speak to will assume nyc when you say you're from ny and then you'll be able to say you've been once or twice. i'll open up a thread tomorrow where we can throw out different day possibilities as well as possible agendas?

thanks ashes, but it does not appear that i will be moving out of state anytime soon....

but yes, when i did visit down in ga, some of gekkos friends only associated nyc with ny state... and they think that albany is upstate ny. i am like, you have no idea what UPSTATE is people! now I AM upstate!

so never got to watch hero's last night...ended up with DS in the ER....I can't believe how fast Ear Infections crop up but the poor baby was in pain so after urgent care turned us away because they were closing in 5 minutes (yeah I was mad) I took him to the ER. Now I have a big Fiasco with XH's company changed insurance's again and he hasn't given me the new cards...I asked him for them 2 months ago. I have to have the insurance co call the hospital now and I called the Insurance co and am having the cards sent to my house...etc. etc. etc. I am so thrilled...yay. -_-

But on a lighter note.....when was the last time someone here watched Robin Hood men in Tights.....I love mel Brooks.

We went to Stony River steakhouse last night.

I got reservations for 7:45 and we got the tanle by the fireplace.

The restaurant was overbooked and the OWNER asked if we would mind being moved to a booth for a FREE bottle of wine and appetisers!!!!

The least expensive Cabernet was ofer a hundred dollars!!!

The appetisers was two lobster tails, lamb chops and shrimp cocktails!!! HOLY COW, the wine and appetisers was $200 alone!!!! FOR FREE!!!!!

Tabs and I had a fantastic time, and the entrees were exquisite. She had a filet and I had the prime rib. Got the saute`ed asparagus for the side.

I only weigh in at a buck and a half, but I finished EVERYTHING. I ain't gonna eat for a week now, I'm so full.

Since I started this new job and got the promotion, I've been putting in alot of hours and so has she. We haven't had alot of time to spend together and we needed this night out.

Tabs is now getting the lifestyle my stbxw is going to miss out on as I now make real money.
