My problem is my husband of 27 years has found a long lost 2nd cousin. He has been calling her 7 to 10 times a day on the weekend. Sometimes he talks 2minutes to 80 minutes. He is a truckdriver and he usally goes out of town. I looked at his cell phone bill and I notice that he had called her. I asked him about it and he told me he had a talking cousin. I think that his cousin is really his lover or she has a friend that he is messing with. Do you know of anyone that calls their cousin like he is calling?
Someone please help me with this. Am I crazy?

You don't need our opinion. You need to do a background search on this 'cousin', then get yourself a plan.

What else is there to this story?

Btw, your poster name...... very unusual...what's it based on?

The rest of the story is the reason I think it is his cousin. I did call her and spoke with her. She gave me the story about how they were cousin and the names she gave me where true. I called again and I got her voicemail but it was not the same voice I talked to the first. That is why I think that it is a friend of hers. Being married for 27 years don't you think I should know all his family, which I do. Maybe I asked the wrong question. Anyway, when I asked about her he told me that she had drove his truck and my husband stated that his sister told him that if I knew the girl was driving his truck that I would be mad. Then to put the icing on the cake when I talked to his suppose to be cousin she stated to me I told him to tell you that we were talking and she state my husband told her if he did then I would think that they were messing around. What kind of S is that? As for my name I just made it up it came out of the blue

Thanks for clarifying.

So check her out. Do the background check and expose (nicely) so ALL know about this 'cousin'.

Still do your reading. Surviving an Affair and His Needs/Her Needs are both by Dr. Harley. Good stuff to read to help you and your M.

He is being a bit fishy..... let him know something about him doesn't smell right.... after all why do strangers think he is having an A? Yea.... twist back his words and watch his reaction.

Doesn't matter if she is a cousin or not, they could still have an affair. It is legal in most states to marry a second cousin and I know of cases where first cousins marry (yuck!) Don't let the "cousin card" throw you off.

Thanks. You are right about cousins marrying 2nd cousin.
I have someone doing some investegating on the other end. I just don't believe cousins talk that much and that long. I know I do not talk to my cousins that much or that long.

How about going to www.Ancestry.com. You can get info from relatives and check it out yourself.

PS: I actually found a 2nd cousin myself through this site.....but gosh, we never talked that much.

Thank you for the info. I will try it now. I will let you know what I found. I know no one talks to their cousin that much. He says his cousin talks about her childern and he husband to be. I ask why do you have to call her. He say she calls me sometime. This is on his cell phone. He still can not answer the question. But he says you know I would not hurt you. i love you. If you want me to stop talking to my cousin I will. I told him okay we will see.

Thus the gaslighting continues.

I suggest telling how you REALLY feel and what you really want him to do, rather than let him play you like that.

I did exactly what you just said. I told him not to call her anymore. I found out that her father is actually my husband's father nephew. Sister child. Go figure. So I told him okay you and her are kissing cousin. Well, I will see if he keeps his promise. The saga continues.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I saw your userid coupled with the title of the thread, I figured you were the wayward one. Not sure this userid is conveying what you want it to. A minor point, I guess...but it might be a "trigger" for some of those who read/give advice here.

If you should know hotlady51 just popped in my head. Read what I wrote. Could my name not mean that I am very hot with my husband as mad as "S". Nothing else okay. Please do not read into the name. It means nothing just something about how I feel about what I think he is doing. Thanks anyway for replying. Hope you see where I am coming from. No disrespect.
