My ex-fiance is moving out Sunday, and I'm helping. Just to be a good sport and help lift all the heavy stuff. I believe her girl friend will be helping also, as she's mentioned borrowing her truck.

She says it's over between them, but they like each others company. Whatever. I know better.

Anyway, starting Monday, I'm no longer going to initiate contact. Every morning for weeks now, I email her wishing her to have a good day, then again in the afternoon asking how her day is going. No more. Today was the last day.

I'm also going to refrain from calling her, other than to discuss pick ups and drop offs and other things concerning our daughter.

I have to read up on Plan B over the weekend.

I hope I can do this right. I haven't done much right in a while.

She moved out yesterday. I thought it would be harder than it was, but all in all it was a good day.

The house is too empty though. Then she called a few times last night, and texted me when she went to bed. I could tell she was crying. However, today she's back to being her stoic self.

I'm on the fence of letting go and moving on or waiting and see what comes. I'm not ready to start anything new, but I'm not ready to just turn my back on her.

Is it just me or are is there an issue with my posts?

No biggie, I love this woman. I want to rebuild my relationship with her, we might as well have been married.

Plan B works maybe 1 out of 10 times even when done with long term marriages from what I've seen here.

If it was me, I would not do Plan B in your situation.

Ask her on a date. A regular old fashion date - not one to discuss "problems".

I've been trying to not contact her, give her some space, since I couldn't do it when she was still living with me.

I have asked her to a movie, figure that's the best place since not a lot of talking or pressure.

I would suggest something light and fun. Bowling, put-put golf etc. Something fun where you can laugh and maybe bring up some of the good old days.

How's it going? Even if you were not married, you had a child together.

? - Have you considered marriage?

A man who doesn't marry a woman... well, a woman will build up defenses, imo.

Could that be "at the root" of why she built up a shell of defenses and finally went somewhere else to be validated?
