Maybe I am over sensitive...and I most likely am considering the 3 yr anniversary of my dad dying from this disease is next week..but Alzheimer's is not funny to those of us that watched our loved ones die from this horrible disease.

Sorry if I am being over sensitive to that comment Mimi.

I would agree with Mimi's assessment of MM posts though.

Meremere (just kidding!), I really love reading your posts as well. You make so much sense and have a knack for "teaching" and "illustrating" with your words. I was right there in the room with you when I read the story about your brother.

Keep it up.

Are you the Batman or the Riddler, MDEC?

Ditto Mim, I like reading MM's stuff, too.

Mere, I think you have grown so much since you left here last time. I remember you well from before.

I always think of Octobergirl too, when I think of those days. I sure hope she is doing well, too.

MEDC:

I'm sorry about the ALZHEIMER'S comment...maybe gallows humor...is that what it's called?

I was responsible for the care of both of my very, very much BELOVED GRANDPARENTS who both recently died in their 90s...married 71 years..both had Alzheimers..so the disease is everpresent in my mind...I joke about serious stuff to help me deal with it...my other grandmother also had it before she passed away...Because of MY GENES, I'll probably live until OLD AGE but will probably get it..You think about such stuff when your birthday is next week and you'll be turning 53..I can't believe I'll be that age..I feel like I'm about 18...

no problem Mimi...I understand your thoughts.
Thanks.

Charlottee...sorry, I refuse to imagine a Batman with boobs. Adam West with his belly was bad enough!

MEDC,

I don't have boobs when I am Batman. I undergo a transformation. No "Bat Nipples" either. Like in the Clooney version. I never saw it but always heard about the nipples!

Christian Bale is THE best movie Batman, IMO!

Tell me if these stories are insensitive or not funny but they are precious memories to me...

A couple of comments that my grandmother (then with ALD )made:

Speaking to my grandfather: "How did we get HER (speaking about me)? She is so precious."

Speaking to me: "He is such a good husband. Is he the only one that I have ever had?"

She was the most WONDERFUL PERSON...

I strive to continue HER LEGACY...

I made it happen..a joyful life..filled with peace, contentment, happiness and fabulocity.

Charlotte,

You could be Batgirl, yanno...or even Robin.

Me, I'm going to be Josey from the band in the Archie series. Wasn't her name Josey?

Princess Meggie can be Veronica.

And of course Mel can be Donny Osmond, as usual.

I think Mimi can be the Flying Num. Yes, that will work.
