Today I turned up the court to get my divorce finalized. My attorney had already prepared the decree. The judge asked me a couple of questions to confirm the content of the decree, then signed it! It was all over in less than a minute. He said good luck and my attorney said 'you are now single' and that was that. I tried to control my emotions as I had always dreaded this moment.
My wife has already left to go back to her state and we are selling the house this week. I've just moved to a rented accommodation. It's been such a stressful time and I would never forgive my wife for this. Such total disregard to the sanctity of marriage. It all boils down to her not liking were we live here in Texas. Whatever happened to the wedding vows "In sickness and in health, in poverty or in wealth, till death do us part". Just hollow words for some people. Makes me sick really sick.

Sorry for venting like that.

Best of luck to all divorced/divorcing people here.

Al.

Hey, that's what we're here for. To listen when you vent.

Yeah, I know how strange going to court is. Hopefully, in time, you will look realize that there are other people who have integrity. Not everyone honors their commitments only when it suits them.

Yes, some people have no regard for their vows at all.

Sorry you had to go through this but most of us here have and we all have survived.
