(Our "angel from God" was our marriage counselor)

S.O.S.

Torn asunder, ripped apart, hearts once bound together.
A revelation, a disclosure, innocence gone forever.
Lives changed, families in turmoil, decisions to be made.
Forced on the mind, by an act of betrayal, at the feet of a loved one laid.

What will I decide: to stay or go? I choose the harder of the two.
So we're in the process of mending of hearts, not an easy task to do.
For our marriage was neglected for many a year, we had no tools to use.
Until we found an angel from God who showed us the path we must choose.

Now we're on the right road, she says it is worth it, but I'm fearful we never will heal.
She gently reminds us, we're not in this alone, at the feet of the Master we kneel.
For He's the one who created man and woman and this mystery they call marriage.
He has much at stake, for the world looks on, observing this Christian pilgrimage.

Will these two people who claim Christ's name, give up and get a divorce?
Is not God more powerful than betrayal, sin, and remorse?
God knows these two flawed vessels of His, value obedience above all else.
For obedience to God, is what finally made, a home where love now dwells.

But love is fragile and needs much care, so we weekly come through the door.
Of our angel from God, who tirelessly guides us, with knowledge we now can store.
For knowledge is power, combine that with God's love, equals a recipe for success.
This marriage will make it, for we have an angel, and a God who heard our distress.
