Here is another moron who thinks that flirting (with coworkers, strangers, bartenders) will actually "strengthen" your current relationship. The only redeeming thing is the almost universally negative comments to the article; #15 about says it all. AGG

The comments to his blog are interesting. I didn't read all of them, but of the ones I read, most are calling him an idiot or something similar.
I recently started reading a book that a friend recommended and the author had similar thoughts in regard to flirting. When I got to that particular chapter I showed it to my DH and told him the woman must be a total whack-job to think flirting was a good idea. She suggested flirting with everyone and anyone was a good way for woman to get ahead in life.
Needless to say, I stopped reading the book at that point.

I like what Mulan said about flirting: "Flirting is ALWAYS sexual" I never really thought of it that way, but se went on to say......afterall, you don't flirt with your relatives or your same sex friends. And that's so true.

Yeah, like some of those who commented on the blog, I also got to experience a spouse who liked to flirt with everyone to "feel better about herself", until it got her into an affair with a married coworker...
Star, the weird (scary?) thing is that the writer of the article does not deny that flirting is sexual; he simply does not seem to see any danger in that, since it "makes you feel good about yourself".... Heck, what could be more important than feeling good, right?

Thanks for posting the link. Fortunately, most of the people there are telling this guy what a complete idiot he is.
Here's what I posted in the Comment section:
"My husband's insistence on flirting with every waitress, sales girl and (especially) female co-worker he sees has DESTROYED our marriage and family. It is horribly disrespectful for a married person to flirt with others and causes nothing but pain and humiliation for their spouse. But you say that makes you feel *good*? You say that's *good* for a relationship?" Mulan
P.S. Yer welcome, star*fish!
Me, BW WH cheated in corporate workplace for many years. He moved out and filed in summer 2008.
