I bought a book, which is helping me a lot. I have just found the website which has online the complete text to the book, wonderful words and ideas to help us all "Survive the Loss of a Love", be it our partner, our OP, our dreams, or cherished ideals. Everyone here has experienced loss of some sort, or is working through a "limbo loss", (on again, off again pain). I believe it might help some of my friends here who are coming to terms with loss of the OP as well. The site is:
http://www.survivingloss.com/
and the book "How to survive the loss of a love". ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

Sosad. Thank you for telling about this website. I just visited and printed the first 22 pages. I haven't read it all yet and it will take time. It is hard to read when there are tears in your eyes. But it is a great website and it will help.
------------------
di

Thank you, sosad. You are right, loss is the one thing we all share...and grieving our losses productively is how we can support each other.
Although I didn't lose my love, I lost ideals. I think I grieved more for losing what I thought my marriage was, than for the actual betrayal.
Grieving is actively working through your pain vs. despair which has no hope.
I think if we all spend more time grieving productively, we could all move forward a little better.
------------------
Faith, Hope, Love Remain,
but the greatest of these is Love.
1 Corinthians 13:13

I got this book from my brother, who also experienced pain of divorce about 3 years ago. I think it's a great book and helps me to express what I think and feel. Poetry was never my strong suit, but I think the short selections here are revealing and helpful.
------------------
7Habits (Dane)
"The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them." Bring this back to the top. This a good web site to visit. I just read "How to Survive the Loss of a Love" I think it might be helpful if someone was also going through withdrawal, or if you were helping someone through withdrawal. It gives some insights as to what you are going through.
------------------
di
