I decided to sign up for eHarmony and see what is out there. Met a very nice lady and we emailed back and forth for a while. We then exchanged phone numbers and called back and forth. After a couple of weeks, I ask her out. We go out for dinner and it seems to go nice. (Other than she talks about her x-boyfriend way too much! - I know, red-flag!) I call her again and we talk a couple of times. I ask her out again and she says sure!
So... Saturday night I get a baby sitter and make reservations at a nice restruant. We plan on taking in a movie so I find a theater where the movie she wants to see is playing. As I am getting ready, my cell beeps that a TM is coming in. It is from my "date". She says please read your email (I think this ain't good!) In her email she tells me she is sorry but her x-boyfriend (who dumped her I might add) called and wants to go out. She adds that she is sorry and hopes we can be friends. (Sorry, but my "friends" don't treat me like that!)
So, I spent Saturday eve with my favorite people in the entire world (my kids!) and I saved myself at least $100!

Sorry...I know how you're feeling....the bank guy turned out to be a dud too.
The fact that she did it in an email speaks volumes about her integrity. Not all of us women are like that...don't give up hope!

Charming! Like a cobra!
You've made it further than me. I've signed up for eH too. Rarely get matches.
I keep holding out for the grocery store experience. When I do see a possibility, with no ring, I freeze!
Good luck in your adventures and be thankful she didn't work out if that was her attention span. Oh, and cross her off the friend list!

This brought K out of the woodwork.
I have also not had any connections with eharmony. None, Nada.
Good luck with it. One lemon shouldn't stop you.

I will give my date credit, she was honest about it. She could have just canceled and not told me why.
I would rather be hurt with the truth than hurt with a lie.

I have to admit I like your "after date" group. Kids are so cool and they can get you through just about anything (along with smirnoff ice and chocolate"

I got engaged this past weekend to the girl I met on eHarmony. Hone your sleuthing skillz (the exBF thing was a red flag) and have faith!

You know, it really doesn't matter where or how you meet them, there are duds everywhere. And good ones too. I think. At least, I'm pretty sure. I've heard there are anyway. Hang in there!

First couple of weeks were rocky because I liked her so much but she was being cautious. But once she warmed up we really hit it off. I mean we have so much in common it's crazy. We both fell in love pretty quickly and hard. We spent 17 days during the holidays together, and visited each others family. I asked her dad for her hand during this time and he said yes. This past weekend I asked her and she agreed, crying with joy. I don't know what to say except, I knew she was the one, and have known for a couple of months now. Sometimes you just know, and I love her more deeply than I have ever loved anyone, even though I have been married once already.
