NA, I agree with others here. This counselor is a predator and regardless of whether he has done this 100 times or once, it needs to be reported to the proper authorities immediately. Emotional dependency and transference with a therapist or a counselor is a common element for treatment and you have been violated by this man. Transference: a phenomenon in psychology characterized by unconscious redirection of feelings for one person to another. Transference is common. Only in a personally or socially harmful context can transference be described as a pathological issue. His behavior is considered misconduct and a violation of ethics and your husband should be immediately informed so that the two of you can deal with this together.

NA,
Don't let the OM get the first opportunity to "spin" this to your H.

AGREE with Chrisner! And I also think you should tell him before you have a chance to lose your nerve and before the OM has a chance to talk you out of it.

Keep in mind that it's not even possible for a sane adult to be "in love" after 5 weeks.

He took advantage of you and is the most despicable type of person on this planet. DON'T EVER SEE OR CONTACT HIM AGAIN.
After you have calmed down, we can talk about how you resolve this with your devoted husband. I 100% agree! <img src="/ubbt/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> This just breaks my heart. Your Husband will be hurt, but it will be worse if you wait. I agree with all there other posters here.
