I think he liked her and they had a couple of things in common and they had a brief history.
My sad story is this - 12 years ago my H had a brief
(1 month)PA with a woman he worked with. He came home from work early one night to tell me. He told me because she claimed to be pregnant. I, too, was pregnant by 2 months with our second child. I think it was a load of crap and to this day I believe that.
Anyway no contact, based on what he tells me, for 11 years. Out of the blue one night she called him at his work to talk to him, to put the past behind her, so she tells him. By putting the past behind her - she claimed that she lost the baby all those years ago. She claimed at the time that her husband would raise the child as though it was his. She either was never pregnant, lost it or aborted it. But she needed to let it go - she had gone to therapy and stuff but needed to tell him all of this apparently. (Whatever!)
Based on his cell phone records it appears that he contacted her, but he said she called the work desk at work. She has family that works for the same company (different location and no contact with them at all) and could probably pretty easily see if he still worked for the same company after all those years. I am assuming.
Anyway they started talking on the phone and then they met and then the rest is history as they (whoever they are) say!
I found out because I got a call to my home by someone that I do not know and I don't have caller id so thats that. She told me to check up on my husband bcuz he was having an A. So I talked to him about it and he denied. That was Thursday. By Monday I had the OW's phone number, called her and left her a message. I didn't know who she was and my H didn't know I was calling her or had that information. She called me back told me who she was - same woman from 11 years ago, that indeed the A was a PA. I called him at work, told him I talked to his girlfriend just now and he better get home. He came home, I confronted him, he spilled his guts and now here we are.
I origninally asked him to leave because all of those years I said that if I ever found out he cheated on me again, our marriage would end in divorce. I felt that I had to stand my ground and follow through. He ended up coming back home because he never intended for their relationship to ever be more than just sex. He always came home when he should have been, he never spent time with her when he was supposed to be with his family. The phone records prove that there was no contact on the weekends or during family time - holidays and such. It was a Monday - Friday thing either before work (he works the afternoon shift and I the day shift) so I wasn't home to know what he was or wasn't up to or after work when I was sleeping, trusting he was home on time. When he wasn't home on time he always had a believable reason.
Thats my story. I am just not satisfied with believing that it was only sex. They talked so much - I mean more than he and I ever talked. Many times a day - on his way into work, on his break, on his way home. I mean he and I have 3 kids, a house and a life together and we didn't talk that much.
He said that it was coming to an end when I found out because he was starting to get what he needed from me. Can that be true? I am having a really hard time not being cynical and believeing anything he says. It was a 10 month affair! I ask questions and he tells me, but I have this incredible need to know more and to want to talk to her to see if his story matches her's. Someone recently told me that those 2 have the whole 1000 piece puzzle and I only have 600 pieces and I am trying to comeplete the picture but the holes are too big. That is a perfect discription of how I am feeling. Would she tell me anything I want to know and why, why, why do I need to know so bad?
