I do live in the mountains and it is beautiful!
This is the roughest part of the year. I will be very happy if it only get this cold. 40 below used to be the norm but now it doesn't get that cold all the time. I have seen it in the -50's too. YUK.
If we get through the next month we are usually out of the real cold stuff. We are getting more snow this year and it is so beautiful (except the avalanches).

Come on Spring!

So can a goddess go outside when it is 40 below? Ignore what Mimi says, and keep those sweats.

I don't like to go outside when it is this cold. It makes your nose kinda freeze up!

I feel sorry for the critters.

My boys and I went for a snowmobile ride a couple weeks ago and it was about 20 above. It was so much fun! But criminy, the work involved getting enough clothes to keep warm! But is was worth it-we laughed and the snow was just beautiful. No tracks in it at all till we got there. Then it snowed again and the wind blew so it's all brand new again!
(This is part of my new goddess attitude, which has been developing over the past couple years-I used to just whine and complain about it!)

So yes, some sweats are in order cuz they double as long johns to go under snow pants too! Oh, and fleece! So warm!

Sweats are perfect for sleeping when it's cold and you feel lousy. Tonight it is supposed to get down around 20 degrees here. I didn't sleep at all last night. If I'm warm and comfy in my sweats, that beats being cold and grouchy. I would rather be warm, thank you.

BTW, it will be about 12 degrees here tomorrow night. (Let me add that the only male around my house is my 14yo son.) However, any man who doesn't want you to be comfortable is not seeing things clearly, imho.)

RELLA:

For ME, comfy is definitely a NIGHTGOWN or less...

Since the BIG M, if I dare to sleep even in a T-SHIRT, I'm SOAKING WET from head to toe..YUCK..very uncomfortable...

RELLA,also, I feel UNCOMFORTABLE when I don't FEEL PRETTY..

I LOVE FEELING GIRLY and FEMININE and SEXY..even when I'm all by myself...

When I wore sweats, I WAS DEPRESSED..definitely not well...definitely NOT MYSELF..I didn't care anymore..I HAD LET MYSELF GO...

I had to edit..you seem like CINDY to me...SORRY..

ROTFLMAO!

Ok after posting I realized that wasn't very Goddess like...I was only imagining ROTFLMAO, but I was glad I wasn't sipping a drink when I read that!

So what makes you feel like a goddess, storm??

Much like a lot of the other women here... mine is prettying all up and walking with that extra strut in my stuff.... yanno?

Well not much makes me feel like a goddess anymore...it feels a little surreal to me now. I used to feel pretty darn hot when we went out on the town, now I feel like it doesn't really matter anymore...no matter how hot I am, or was he still stepped out on 'all that'. I guess I feel good about myself at the gym, when I'm working out. It feels good to be getting stronger.

MVG,

Glad I could give you a chuckle. I was being very serious about that though. Hers were the worst I've ever seen - down almost to her belly button. Unfortunately, whenever I look in the mirror, I think of her because mine are on the way down!

Has anybody done a breast-lift? Does it work? Certain parts are aging faster than others if you know what I mean.

My GYN remarked how lovely my breasts were last year, even brought her nurse in to take a gander. It was hilarious. She asked me if I breast fed, and I told her I could only do it for about a month, but yes. Since then, they have migrated a bit south and lost some of their UMPH, but they're still nice ( I went from a B to a C cup post pregnancy and breat feeding).

At a certain point, though, it is inevitable, even if you work the pectoralis muscles, the tissues lose elasticity over time. I suppose I would consider a lift, but I don't know about enlarging them. If I were very small, I would probably consider an enlargment.

If anything, I may want the tummy tuck as I age. My mom always wanted one.

I agree wtih Chai-- those bras can be a little pricey, but worth it if they do their job. Oh--and get a "laundry bag" while you're at it... they are little zip mesh bags that you put your bras in before you wash them, so the washer doesn't eat them and they stay relatively "in form" and don't get stretched and bent and tangled wtih other clothes. Oh-- and hang it on a drying rack to dry... no dryer!
This will increase the life of your bra!

I am still feeling like poop today. Not much better than yesterday. I actually came into work to teach this morning... and I'm not sure I taught any of my students ANYTHING other than to stay away from me right now because they don't want this disease. I coughed and hacked and sneezed my way through the lecture... and now I'm going home. I look so awful my boss TOLD me to go home. Ha!

So, I'm going home to make myself some tea (I love tea!), curl up on the couch with my dog (she's my furry baby... 80 lbs of furry love!), and watch some bad soap operas (or whatever happens to be stored in my TiVo).

And... mimi... I think I'm gonna put on some sweatpants. I haven't had time to get the sexy wear yet... and this disease is really kicking my butt right now!

OK-- gonna head home. I'll sign back on when I get there!

Yay!!! regret is getting some rest. Whew! I was worried for you, lady. TiVo away.

My current obsession is Project Runway. I enjoy watching the designers create. I like clothes, so it satisfies me, like "What Not to Wear" does.

Being a true GODDESS doesn't depend on anyone but OURSELVES. Storm, I so understand your sadness and the Why Bother attitude - but you MATTER.. You matter to G-d, to your family and to US.

What is happening to us for whatever reason is a personal journey that if you seek G-d and allow the good of you inside to rise to the top, you will start to feel like a GODDESS in spite of yourself. It happened to me, and I am NOT LYING when I say I thought I was lower than low.

I could go into the gory details, but they don't matter. What matters, is what I THINK.

YOU ARE THE GREATEST MIRACLE IN THE WORLD. And SO AM I, and everyone ELSE ON HERE. We are G-ds blessings and he LOVES you for who you are.

What is ONE thing that puts just a sliver of a smile on your face and makes you feel good inside?

I bet you can think of ONE THING....

Ahhh!! Had to bump us up... we were almost falling off the first page, girls!

Well, I have been home since about noon. This virus is really a doozy! I haven't been this sick in about 2 years. I am hoping I feel better tomorrow. Tomorrow I am supposed to go to a happy hour for H's work with him after work... and of course I have to be all GODDESSED up! I bought a new sweater, I was going to wear for this, and do my hair and make up real nice... but I can't even think about that right now when I feel like my sinus are about the size of kansas...

H is being a little jerk-y today (see my thread...). Grrr... I am sick, and he has to try to bring me down MORE?? I don't have the energy to deal with this today...

How's it going out there in the rest of Goddess-land?? I have been lounging in sweatpants and not feeling SEXY for the past 2 days.... I need to beat this and get back to Goddessness!
