Whenever we go to Tijuana, we watch the ladies pole dancing in the clubs. They are all beautiful.
I don't think I would be too limber, but it sure sounds like a fun goddess activity.

I knew you'd pop in for the late shift. It looks like pole dancing is the latest goddess thing.
You game??

Hey gang.
You guys are great. A true inspiration. I needed an attitude fix. I am somewhere between Plan A and Plam B. I think it's called plan 'I don't know anymore'.
I think I need a makeover?!? From head to toe.
I am going to start with my weight. My metabolism needs a boost I think. I started putting on weight because of those pesky AD's. I got a meal plan from a nutritionist and have come off the AD's since my IC doesn't think I need them anymore. I start turning on the meal plan over the weekend. I am not used to eating 6 meals a day!

Oh, good. Working on your weight is a good goddess in training activity. Be sure to exercise.
Then you can clean up the house sparking clean, throw out all of your sweats, get hair cut, colored, get a manicure and some sexy new clothes.
Then it will be on to pole dancing.

Don't worry, you have to work on all the other stuff first.

I've been thinking of a new hair color. I have been waiting to get my hair done because I've been gorwing out layers from a hair cut that wasn't so good for me. Remember Rease Witherspoon in Just Like Heaven, yeah that's the haircut I had. It didn't quite work, and they actually have to shred your hair out to get that effect.... Never again. Ouch.
I'm thinking of going long layers and going from a chestnut brown to red!

My Goddess report: Hubby loved the shoes. LOVED them. Helped me find two great sweaters to match them.
Had so much SF at first I got sore and begged a day off LOL. Our last night together, I introduced a new position and ****** YEAH, it was FUN. Think I gave him a shock. Also introduced...ummm....toys, which was extremely fun. He got a real kick out of that.
He liked the blonde color he had requested I try, but agreed that if I was happier with my smoking hot red hair, that I should go back to it. So I will, after the 1st. I'll make sure to keep it up when I see him again in Nebraska for our adult vacation/reunion.
Up til the last half hour, the visit was divine.

Sounds like you took full advantage of your GODDESS-ness and left hubby with some pretty good memories! I guess that explains why you haven't been posting here! Just a little busy!

I got all dolled up yesterday in a new sweater, thin with a v-neck, makeup, hair and all. Son (18 yo) said I looked good, then when I bought new lip gloss, super shiny, he said I looked sexy! I told him about the mineral foundation and that it should be coming and it would make my face look flawless. He said, "I will have to fight of all the men because they will want to marry you".
Then we went to a presentation of the new elementary school, which my son, as a high school student, was invited to help design. It was awesome! The superintendent introduced everyone but when he got to my son, he asked him to stand, and said, "this guy's a genius"! Then the principal hollered, "and he was educated at (our town name) elementary!." I don't think I could have smiled any bigger or been any prouder! We mingled with the architects who were so impressed with him and further burst my buttons. Ahhhhh. The kid has an awesome future.
And now I have all my new skin care products to play with today and my new lip gloss, and another new low cut long sleeve t-shirt to wear.
Hmmmm, where is H when ya need him?.....Oh, working through his days off again, out of town no less, so we can pay off some debt! Oh well, I'll just practice up for when he comes home!

(((GOOD MORNING DIVA GODDESSES))))
I haven't posted here in a couple of days because I wasn't feeling too GODDESSY with being sick. I now know that was a mistake and will NEVER happen again. This is my favorite thread and it always "picks" me up. I was doing way TOO much stinkin thinkin while I was sick. I should have come here.
Today I will be working on the basement some more and cleaning off my desk and doing some filing. Then I will head off to the mall for a pedi. I got my hair cut and highlighted yesterday, so I am keeping myself in tip-top GODDESS shape (seriously, b4 all of this I would go 6-9 months between hair cut and coloring...this time it was about 2 months..).
Check list for the day....
breakfast...check
jeans....check
cute t-shirt..check
hair...check, it is in a pony, but it is so full of bounce today it's really cute
make-up.....no, am going to do that when I get off here...
and unfortunately I do have a sweatshirt on, but it is cold here. I promise not to leave the house in it though....

When ordering the BE mineral make-up online how do you make sure you get a color that either doesn't make you look like you put on the fake tan stuff, or make you look like a sick pale ghost?

I don't know SS. I ordered mine online (Mary Kay) and got the wrong color (somehow I had changed my mind about the color but forgot to change it in the computer before I pushed send). Now I have the too-dark color but I don't know which one to order since the color on the computer doesn't look like the one i have.
Can you order the BE sample set? My daughter works at a spa that sells BE and she said there is a sample/starter set with a few different colors and brushes for about $60 I think.

Hi SS,
If you can get to a Sephora, they will test you. I'm glad that I did because the starter kits come with two colors and one has a yellow undertone which made me look pukey (sorry but it is the word that came to mind when I looked in the mirror - yuk). I had to use the other one with more of a pink undertone.
Good luck...

Well, unfortunately the closest Sephora is....I'm looking, I know it isn't in our state... Salem, NH Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 25 minutes
or Burlington, MA Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 43 minutes
and I have no reason to go that far, specially for make-up that I might not like wearing. I'd love to have them put it on me and I'd see if it looked ok and how it felt, but I'm not up to driving that far away ;-) darn it!!

I did the domestic goddess thing today. My sons and friends are going to the desert 4 wheeling, and I made all their food. Made potato salad, burritos, carne asada, salsa, barbecued chicken, and sent fruit and chips and home made cookies.
Whew! Also started cleaning out my kitchen cupboards and drawers. So far I have about 200 Tupperware lids, and no containers. What a disaster area!

Believer,
LOl on the Tupperware. One of WH's friends who helped us move into the house that we just sold, told me that I had one of the finest collection of Tupperware lids that he'd ever seen.
See, you are a great mom too! How sweet of you to make all of that food for them.
N2F - I'll be around all evening and I'll keep an eye on these Goddesses to keep things from getting too raunchy.

Oh, yeah, ChaiLover, my sons are my life. And my guy is STILL gone in Washington DC on a temporary job. He was supposed to be back 2 weeks ago, but it was extended.
So I'm doing the whole domestic thing. I am tossing all the lids, and kitchen junk into trash bags and sorting through. Then I'm donating duplicates, and trying to find things that go together. But it is getting obvious that most of the the containers disappeared. And the couple that I found don't have lids that fit.
I bought those containers and lids that are on a carousel type holder, and use those now. It only cost $7.99, and everything is always together. What a find!

B, Where did you find the carousel and lid holder? That sounds like something that I need. When I moved into the condo, I pitched most of my Tupperware for the same reason - if there was a lid, there was no bowl, and if there was a bowl, there was no lid. Yikes! Drove me crazy, so it all went into the trash. Most of it was my Mom's that was collected over 50 years anyway. Most were stained and had permanent marks from the microwave, dishwasher, dogs, whatever.
Bummer on the trip to DC. Why don't you join him? Do not let him travel alone. Look what happened to me. I ended up a BS that way.....
How old are your sons???
