Hi Mimi, It's her quest towards PERSONAL RECOVERY..just like US... It's exactly what I thought, too...a real inspiration.... So....I know Rome and Italian pretty well (as I am Italian), so I can relate to that.... I have not been to India (nor do I intend to go there), but I have done yoga and so intend to....re-start doing it again...you know, for the breathing part, the BE STILL part, the meditation.... got my 'corner' set up....got my tape....got the mat...the candles....NOW....I just have to 'get going' doing it...LOL! ....and the Bali part, among other things.... finding a lover, I will have to leave it for 'after' I have travelled and am finished with the D route! ....but there are so so many moments in the book with which I can relate....and I thought she was so honest with her struggles....I just loved it! Now...back to today....I so love Fridays and the weekend.... and they come around....every week...LOL! Have a good day everybody!

BUSY MOMS Found this article on MSN for BUSY MOMS. There are some good tips there. Oh, Believer, I cleaned my lint trap yesterday. Now I just need to set up a reminder on my phone to clean it again in 6 months .

Ok, ladies, Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so throw out your nifty ideas to spice things up or have a great time with your mate, kids or friends.
For me, we haven't been playing pool much lately (we have our own table), so I plan on ordering some tasty dry ribs from a local BBQ joint (that we both love) and setting up the gameroom for a night of family fun (our DS will be with us), and after DS goes to bed, continue the fun with Champagne and strawberries dipped in DARK Chocolate. Letting the bubbles loosen our lips for some conversation and laughter.
Any babysitting for that evening is out, since most people are celebrating themselves, and aren't up for taking care of my kid. Plus, I want to show some love to my kid, too. He's one of my Valentine's!

For valentines day, I am buying some construction paper, cutting out paper hearts, and writing a reason that I love my H on each one of the hearts, stringing them all together wtih some fishing wire, and hanging it up downstairs in the morning so that when he comes downstairs he finds it.
I admit, I am hijacking that idea from someone else on the "romantic ideas" thread. But, I thought it was a very good one!
We are going on a snowboarding trip with some friends that weekend, so we will probably just go out to dinner Thursday evening and then we fly out on Friday morning for the weekend. I would have rather had a romantic weekend for the two of us, but I take what I can get anymore...
My plan B is approaching... (I am currently planning on going plan B March 1st...) So this is my plan A home stretch...

Hi ladies (and gents)! The funniest thing happened with my weight. Mom was here 10 days ago and we walked all over California. I'm not kidding - 6 hours a day for a week. Anyway, I was disappointed because I didn't lose any weight.
Yesterday I got on the scales and had lost 5 pounds! Wow, how did that happen? Where were those 5 pounds for 10 days?Anyway, I met my goal for January. Now I just need to KEEP it off.

Believer, That is great!! Too bad it took so long, but so long as it went away, it's all good!
I have been exercising and most days I think I see a difference. It's only been a few weeks and I don't have a scale so I just go by how I look/feel. I'm gonna get skinnier!

Gonna go to the grocery store IN STYLE today...
I have to say that I look 20 times PRETTIER this way..getting rid of the "RAVAGES of AGE" (thanks LG- )..I HATE the BLACK CIRCLES under my eyes..love, love, love MY CONCEALER...
My TIP FOR TODAY is this...TRY EYELINER on the LOWER LID..I tend to skip this step..each time I do it, I can't believe the results..IT'S MAGICAL..MY EYES ACTUALLY SEEM TO POP OUT..I look GLAMOUROUS..
CELEBRATE your FABULOCITY today with me!!

((((((GOOD AFTERNOON ALL GODDESSES))))))
I haven't posted in awhile, but I have been keeping up with keeping myself "GODDESSLY" BEAUTIFUL.....looking good does WONDERS for the self-esteem..
Yesterday, took DS8 to baseball practice, of course all GODDESSED up. One of the mom's who I hadn't seen yet this season was going on about how good I looked. She said very loudly "Well, I guess we know who's going to be the 'HOT MAMA' on the team this season"....WOW that felt so good. Not to mention all the looks I was getting from the men that were in batting practice...
Speaking of BB, the team is taking Hoodie orders for the Season, am I allowed to order one for myself???? hmmmm....what do you say Mimi??? I am actually thinking of just ording myself a t-shirt that I can tuck into my hot jeans to show off my ever-diminishing waist....
I have dropped 30lbs. since DDay (Nov. 25), so I am quite happy with that. Only 12 more to go, before I hit MY target weight.
Anyway, I will look smashing for the SB party I am going to. Good jeans with my Jersey,,,sorry Mimi...it may not be Girlie, but maybe I can pull off the "Hot Jock" girl look.....lol
"GODDESS IN TRAINING" (still) not2fun

^5 N2F!
My H bought me an exercise bike (my request) for my birthday. I am excited to get on an exercise program. Hoping for leaner, stronger thighs & shapely legs. Be Gone dang sandlebags! I think that will definately an improvement and I can wear those cute little skirts and shorts without the bulges.
Have a Goddess day everyone!

HI ladies,
I survived my first day back at work, 7 hours. I'm pretty tired now, but I did accomplish starting a new project and getting reacquainted with things. A month changes a lot. I also had to clean my lab bench, as many had begun using it as a STORAGE space. One of my coworkers apologized for not cleaning it up, which surprised me.
It was a good day. Now, on to the next one.

Yum, men at batting practice, but I digress............
mvg - Exercise bike for your birthday? YIKES! But if that is what you wanted, I guess it is okay. I used one while visiting my mom in Seattle (rainy a lot), and liked it.
SL - Good job on your first day back.

Good morning ladies,
(you can reply, "Good Morning Charlie", if the mood strikes you--Charlies Angels were some strong ladies, doncha think?)
I'm pretty sure they would let me nap, if I really had to. As it is, I will be sitting more often these days. My dang back went out Sunday night, so I'm dealing with a lot of pain there, but it's managable, so off to work I go. It's good to be back.
I have already talked to my boss about the fact that I will still be able to get a lot of bench work done, but my hours will probably be all over the map for a while. They have been informed, and know that I'm not fully recovered yet. When I am, though, I'll be back to packing 10-12 hours into 8hours, but that's a few months down the line.
I realized this morning that I need to organize my makeup and get some new eyeshadows, so that will be my next mission in personal beautyfying. Right now, everything is in my makeup bag, so I have to rummage around to find what I want.
YAWN ,feeling sleepy, maybe I'll take that nap.

My February is going to be about getting back on track. The holidays were less than healthy for me, in terms of food. I have maintained or continued to lose weight, but I find myself munching on baked chips instead of fruit when I get home from work. That's not what I want, so I'm going to work on incorporating those good foods again. It's more work to prep foods, but my body thanks me.
Also, I need to focus on structure at home. Since before the surgery, I've been lax in making structure. Need to get back to reading with my son every night, making sure dinner is all three of us sitting down together, even enforcing rules better.
I worked 8 hours yesterday and CRASHED when I got home. I fed my DS when he got off of the school bus, did some computer stuff, and then took a 1 hour nap. I guess I'm going to fall back in the energy department this next month of work, since I am still healing. The doc told me to be prepared for some exhaustion.
Have my son's parent/teacher conference today at 3:15PM. His report card has shown that he has improved in many areas, so it will be interesting to hear where we need to help DS improve. I praise DS for his good work, but I am always interested in what he can improve upon.
When/if I have extra money, I plan on buying something good for my wardrobe; like nice dark wash jeans, or a pair of pinstripe slacks, as well as nice blouses and shirts. I can't dress up every day for work, because it can be kind of messy, but the days that I know it won't be, I would like to step it up a bit.

To those of you who are SPIRITUAL, I want to share that a MIRACLE happened for me yesterday.
I had a MAJOR PROBLEM for which I needed resolution. It was not related to anything MARITAL, more personal. Over the past few days, I was struggling, trying to come up with a solution. So, I decided to turn it over to HIM. I almost DOUBTED that the ANSWER would be provided by doing so, thinking maybe I have too much FAITH, questioning my BELIEFS. The EVIL ONE was BUSY.
So all day yesterday, I prayed. I said: "LORD, I'm going to put this in YOUR HANDS. I have FAITH that you will provide me with the SOLUTION if it is YOUR WILL". I surrendered.
THE ANSWER was PROVIDED last night in CONCRETE FORM. The LORD said "HERE IT IS"! It was nothing that I actually had to do. IT was PROVIDED.
I know, UNBELIEVABLE to many of you..but TRUE!!
I made it happen..a joyful life..filled with peace, contentment, happiness and fabulocity.

We do, and sometimes we need to ask to be open. Sometimes we don't KNOW we aren't open to receiving.
