Hey Goddesses!!

So, there's a common theme on here of people trying to lose weight...

I am trying to lose about 10 more lbs...

Yesterday, I was browsing the internet and found this awesome FREE!!! online diet diary.

It is REALLY cool. It has over 70,000 foods already logged in, you just search for your food (it even has restaurant meals!) and add it to your "daily foods" and it tells you how many calories you've consumed. You can also do the same with activities.

It asks you questions in the begining when you sign up to try to get at your "basal" metabolism, and what your current and desired weight is.... and sets out a plan for you in terms of exercise and diet (how many calories a day to eat!)

One of the coolest things about it is that you can enter RECIPES in the one section, and it will estimate how many calories are in your RECIPE! So, for example, last night for dinner I made Swedish meatballs. Well, instead of adding the calories for each and every ingredient I put in there, I just put my recipe in the recipe column, told it how many "servings" there were in my recipe, and it CALCULATES THE CALORIES PER SERVING! Then you can "save" that food for later use.

It has a ton of recipes online too. Also analyzes the nutrients in your different foods.

Truthfully, I can't believe it is totally free. It tracks your weight, predicts when you will reach your goal weight....

Its really, really cool! It seems like something you would have to PAY for, but you DON'T!

Oh, and at the end of every day, it gives you a "grade" on your nutrition for the day (it breaks down into percentages how much carbs, fat, and protein you ate for the day too). Yesterday I got an A-.

Check it out if you are trying to diet, goddesses!

Hi Mimi & Queenie,

Quote
WE HAVE TO OPEN TO RECEIVE OUR BLESSINGS!!

Sometimes we don't KNOW we aren't open to receiving.

...I am testing it out, but my theory about how to stay 'open to receiving' is to focus on TODAY...and only on... TODAY

....clear our minds of the clutter of.....thoughts about the past (which we can't change, and at best can only learn from)....and assumptions about the future (which I think only LIMIT US to the potential of the possibilities out there for us, and as at best, we can only plan for...but then...who knows?)....

...and in so doing.... leave 'space' and give the 'opportunity' for such things as inspiration, passion, love.....and all that is good in life......TO ENTER OUR LIVES!

....by focusing on being and doing the BEST...TODAY.... which TOMORROW will be a YESTERDAY.....I think it is building a life on a SOLID foundation.. one BRICK/DAY at a time!

I think this is a great idea.

And one to survive on. Because all we really have is today.

Mimi isn't it always AMAZING when we actually do turn over to Him what we can't/shouldn't accomplish?! He ALWAYS comes through!!!!

SL I'm sure you will be exhausted for several (many) weeks to come. Try and take it easy and as you push forward, only add one thing at a time, work your way back to full out run!

RIM thanks for the link. I've tried many different 'diets' but that link looks very helpful in maintaining reality! Cause I don't think chocolate chip cookies are healthy EVEN if I do put cinaminon (sp) on them!

Have a Goddess day everyone!

Hi everybody,

I have decided that TODAY there will be...totally nothing.... on my TO DO list... and just wait around for...sweet inspiration!

..and so, whatever I will do, is above and beyond my expectations!

It's my....sure-bet pat-on-the-back scheme of the day!

so am I a member or what Mimi?

Btw, I am dieting too. Now that somebody ELSE for a change is watching my figure.

I had a weight watchers meal for lunch. Now going to sleep for a while (long night at work) and then for a run before our activities tonight.

It's so hard sometimes to fit exercise in especially if you're dragging or tired or overworked. My situation Mimi, is that I am an overworked single mom. still in decent shape, but want to be the hottie again. Although bf says I am the hottie. I just know I can do that awesomely with about 15 less pounds on me.

How can I balance this crazy busy life? Help and suggestions? Plus, I gotta get in top shape b/c I am going somewhere warm with bf very soon. He mentioned St. Lucia.

I like that...I want to be a HOTTIE again, too!

Can you do that at 53?

YES...Of course, I can!

Let's strive for being HOTTIES..however YOU define that...LOL...

THIS IS FUN!!

Mimi, Sure, you can do it at that age. Hottiehood can be achieved at any age - it just looks different at 53 than at 38 or 23,

My children are at their dad's tonight. Good cotton sheets w/ no jammies sounds like the ticket. Is 7 p.m. too early for a sleep deprived, still recovering woman to go to bed?

Maybe not a Goddess thing to do but I was ROTFLMAO @ SS! I FEEL like I must have a 3rd eye sometimes cause why else would a H ignore a GODDESS?????? Geessshhhh

Ok ladies, went to the 'city'. Went to the ULTA store. I was excited, finally going to get some helpful info from folks that deal in facial problems....especially that 3rd eye problem . Well not so much! UGH

The lady was nice enough she did experiment with the Bare Escentuals and the PurMineral foundations...I didn't see ANY difference in those and my old cheapo Physcians Formula. Only suggestion she had for my TIRED puffy eyes was concealer...ok fine. I asked for some suggestions as to something that would help smooth my face so that when I use the foundation the wrinkles are not quite so noticable...no real suggestions. Asked ok is cream better than powder...no real answer! UGH UGH UGH Very disappointing visit there. I guess the next time I'm in the city I'll try for a real makeover with real cosmetic folks. Until then I'll have to make due.

I LOVE the hottie thought! So what's age appropriate 'hottie' attire/look for getting closer to 50?

Numero uno -

Act like a lady. This is super important. Review how a true lady behaves. Begin to think about how you walk, talk and sit. If it is not ladylike then change your actions to match those of a lady. The way you move your body can attract or repel a man. Men love a sexy confident ladylike appearance. Be refined. Be dainty. Yet be strongly confident and men will think you extremely hot.

Great advice Believer.

Posture is one of my biggest things to work on. I need to lift it all up a little more. Actually, everything could use a lift at my age. I still weigh the same as I did in my 20's, but everything is in a different place now.

I'm wearing by bras lower, my panties higher, my shoes shorter and wider, my hair flatter, my....well you get the idea
