Without knowing the full extent of your situation, I'd say that your father is the problem. What he did and said was COMPLETELY out of line. COMPLETELY.
Have you read Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer? I just started it last night and the first chapter uses an example of a husband/wife that sounds rather like your situation.
