I recently discovered that my husband was having an emotional affair. They were talking on the cell phone and text messaging. I was wondering if anyone knew how to go about getting a court order to obtain copies of the text messages? I just want to be certain in never got physical! I would appreciate any help you have to offer. Thanks confused spouse

You would have to subpoena the records from the phone company. You can call a legal records retrieval service and they should be able to walk you through it. It is not inexpensive. Depending on the state you're in, you may be required to open a case (for purposes of the subpoena only) before you can file.
Once you serve the phone company they have so many days to object or respond (usually 30 days).
